This hotel was a very disappointing experience. There was no room service at all during our stay. We stayed for 4 nights and repeatedly asked for clean towels and for garbage to be removed from our room, but nothing was done. We also had to ask several times for paper towels. Housekeeping service was extremely poor. Breakfast was also a big disappointment. There was almost nothing available to eat, and we had to ask multiple times when more food would be brought out. The pancake machine was broken the entire time. What felt very strange was seeing an employees come into the breakfast area and take large amounts of food. It seemed unprofessional and made guests uncomfortable. During breakfast, one employee acted in a way that seemed very unprofessional and made guests uncomfortable. We saw this employee taking food with bare hands instead of using serving utensils, which was very concerning from a hygiene standpoint. The employee was also dancing and singing around the breakfast area, which felt strange and inappropriate during food service. Overall, the hotel felt poorly managed, staff service was lacking, and the entire experience was frustrating. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others. Terrible experience!!!!!!

I booked this hotel through a third-party site and reserved a room with two queen beds. I even called the hotel beforehand to confirm the reservation, so I assumed everything was fine. However, when I arrived on Friday and went to my room, I was given a bunk bed instead. The front desk employee told me I should’ve booked directly through the hotel instead of a third-party site, which was frustrating because my reservation clearly stated two standard queen beds. Thankfully, they were able to change my room free of charge, which I did appreciate. The next issue happened the following day when I discovered a boot on my car. When I checked in, I specifically told the front desk I wanted hotel parking and provided my tag information, so there should not have been any issue. When I walked to my car , I had to go to the front desk and spend time figuring out why my car had been booted. Although they removed it without charging me, I asked if I could receive any type of compensation for the inconvenience, especially since the mistake was on the hotel’s end. ( this also happened with another guest’s car ) The receptionist declined and stated that because I didn’t have to pay to have the boot removed, there would be no compensation.( Mind you is not my fault the boot was even on my car ) . Overall, the stay was okay, but the staff was not very welcoming or friendly. They handled what needed to be done, but the customer service experience was lacking. Due to the issues I experienced, I personally would not stay here again.

This place has changed my opinion on holiday inns as a minimum standard when looking for a hotel. The room was the smallest I have stayed in with the entry door strait to the bedroom and a door from that to the bathroom. Just turn the shower on as hot as you can just to get mildly warm water. No cups/ lids for coffee. They offer a big water container with lemon in it but its always empty. Can you tell me how they open the kitchen every morning but have moldy fruit proudly displayed? Yhe pancake maker was always down and the juice machine needs to be recalibrated serving watered down juices but guess owner is trying to save money.

I was assigned to a room with quite possibly the worse view I've ever had, just a few feet away from another building, so I kept the shades down the entire time. Room and bathroom were very small with the bed just a few feet away from the door. Cleanliness was meh- I found a couple of long hairs in the shower, the bathroom tiles could use a deep clean, and the sheets had some small debris in them. Not horrible, but not great. Water pressure was not great. In terms of quietness, this hotel is middle of the pack. Not super loud, though the slamming of doors at night was still annoying. And the first night I occasionally heard this weird boink sound - figured it must be some mechanical issue. The second night I didn't hear it, so not sure what that was. Breakfast was decent, the usual mix of scrambled eggs/ham/bacon/omlette. Location was decent, not a long walk to the French quarter and the St. Charles streetcar line was very close.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express New Orleans from Thursday, April 23-Sunday, April 27 was truly a five-star experience! The location was perfect—conveniently situated between the French Quarter and the Garden District, making it easy to explore the city. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Adel at the front desk went above and beyond—he quickly resolved a room issue, ensured we were comfortable, and provided excellent recommendations for tours, restaurants, shows, and sightseeing, even pointing us to discounts. His knowledge and friendliness truly enhanced our trip. The hospitality didn’t stop there. Tiffany and Alicia at breakfast were amazing—attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast itself was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, the staff made this trip unforgettable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New Orleans! ***Streetcar takes you to Bourbon Street & Canal Street where you can find an assortment of attractions! Runs 24 hours!
