  The front desk people were so kind. They're the reason you get a 2/5. I paid over 2k for 4 days. The bed was hard and an old spring mattress.even a mattress topper did not help. The ac was broken so even though we set it to 78 the room stayed at 60. We turned it off but both me and my fiance had constant headaches and congestion. When we would leave the room we felt better then we learned of a possible mold problem which made a lot of sense for how we felt. You have some overall good reviews and for the price we expected so much better. We would come.back to the city but not your hotel sadly. The lobby is beautiful so is the outside it's the rooms that are the problem. We stayed in a suite at that so you'd expect it to be the best you had to offer. The staff was so nice they are the only reason this place gets a 2 star. The bed was so uncomfortable it was hard to sleep, we expected better and was unfortunately disappointed. If you still go here and get their suite. If it's room 417 switch or go elsewhere

  We decided on a last minute over night trip to New Orleans to celebrate a HUGE personal achievement for my best friend. I decided to splurge and stay right in the middle of it all to give her the best experience. The staff were so pleasant and accommodating. I loved the historic look and feel of the property. There were a few minor things that you can tell are currently being worked on. I will recomment to bring either a throw blanket or extra layers because WE FROZE!!!! Typically it's the opposite and rooms are hot. NOT HERE!!! Otherwise it was a great stay. Also, pro tip....they have ear plugs at the front desk to help buffer the noise of the all night fun being had outside. :)

  The Crowne Plaza on Canal Street in the French Quarter has a beautiful lobby that makes a lovely first impression. We stayed for a convention and found the meeting facilities very nice. However, the convention rooms were freezing, so I recommend bringing a sweater or jacket for your time indoors. The valet staff were wonderful, though additional staffing during the busy morning checkout hours would help. Our wait felt a bit long, especially when we were ready to get on the road. We also needed bellhop assistance at 8:15 a.m., but that service did not begin until 9 a.m. We went down to the front desk, where a staff member retrieved a luggage cart for us. We then took it upstairs and brought our luggage down ourselves. We appreciated the front desk’s help, but having bellhop service available earlier would make departures much easier. Our room was nice and clean when we arrived, but I was disappointed with the bed and bedding. The bed was quite high, which could make getting in and out difficult for some guests, and the sheets did not fully cover the mattress. Properly fitted bedding is a small detail that makes a noticeable difference in comfort. Overall, we appreciated the beautiful lobby, helpful staff, and attractive convention facilities. More attention to the bedding, meeting-room temperature, and morning checkout services would have made the stay more comfortable.

  This is directly on Bourbon street, so if that's a plus, then GREAT! Otherwise, be warned that every night there will be drums and tubas playing until 3 am, and swarms of drunkards chanting incomprehensibly. This was mostly bearable, but the thumping bass of passing cars cut through even the deepest of sleeps I could reach under these circumstances. The location of the hotel, loudness excepted, is phenomenal, with street food, restaurants, and a Walgreens (actually 3 Walgreenses) located just a few hundred steps away. I booked this stay (unknown to me) during "dom con", a sex convention. For reasons that are not clear to me, I was booked on the same floor as all of the conference rooms, and so had to wait for a glut of people at the elevators, and was subjected to the buzz of discussions about the latest developments in genital shocking and bondage each time a conference room let out. The elevators themselves seemed to be poorly designed; more than once I saw people (guests and staff alike) get on the wrong direction. It's a bustling hotel! One night there was a wedding party full of well-dressed rubes with zero environmental awareness, stopping without warning. The hotel shower leaks and has two temperature settings: hot and scalding. Yowza! The beds are lumpy, but the air conditioning works very well. The room does smell of wetness and mildew. The staff was very nice, one manager held an elevator for me. I rarely saw the concierge desk manned, but the water station was usually full of fresh water. There is no hotel breakfast, though it shares a lobby with Dickie Brennan's Bourbon House, which I regret to report is only mediocre in terms of food quality.

  3 STARS were given because of the condition of the room. Room 1334 smells like mold from the door. I reported this matter 3xs and nothing could be done. The air only cools at night and is stuff during the day. This was also reported. The filter was changed but the problem still remained. The shower head was filthy and needed to be cleaned. The shower water made me itch to the point of needing a Benadryl to stop the itching. The service and updates by text from the hotel were on point and appreciated. The pool was way too small. There was a mishap at check-in with an addition charge however I spoke with Ms. Glover, and it was confirmed that there was an error per our previous conversation by text and email. The bald valet guy was kind of rude. We asked to drop our bags off and to check in and we would park the car at an off location. He gave us the ok to leave the truck up front while we did so. There was the mishap with the charge at check which took a little longer at the counter and then the gentleman brought our bags up which took a little longer and return right back downstairs to get the truck. Once we came down, he had attitude and told my fiancé that he told him only 10mins. He directly said, "What did I tell you", excuse me Sir whose kid do you think you are talking to. It pissed me off, but my fiancé tipped him anyway. That definitely needs to be addressed. We wanted to do a tout by the young lady was never at the desk. We saw her red purse but not her. we waited 15mins and no return. We ended up booked 3 tours off the street and missed the hotel discount prices. All and all the Crowne Plaza has it's plus and minus. I'll be back in 2wk for the Falcons vs Saints game. Thanks Nakeisha Jennings
