    Well...to say I was disappointed in my stay is not nearly enough. We've stayed here quite a few times and, while the staff is typically friendly and helpful and the rooms clean, this time we had some problems. We arrived and checked in, dropped our stuff and left, returning late...at that point, I noticed the bathroom was NOT clean (pee on the walls, pee on the toilet...smelled like a gas station bathroom) and the door looked like it had been jimmied open and the deadbolt didn't work. It was late, we were tired, so we went to bed (after checking the sheets and blocking the door). The next morning as we left (around 8, so not too late for housekeeping), we asked for it to be serviced and cleaned (the bathroom specifically) and told the lady at the desk about the door (and told her she needed to know, but I understood if it wasn't something that could be addressed that second); we returned several hours later from the funeral and it hadn't been touched...oh, and the housekeeping staff had left...on our way back out the door a few minutes later, we spoke to the guy at the desk who was very apologietc about it and jumped to go clean the bathroom (he did replace towels and cleaned some of it up, but not all of it); we left trusting it would be done - again, it was late, we were hot and tired and sucked it up. The next morning as we checked out, I mentioned it to the young lady at the front desk - she was mortified and apologized over and over. I asked for the manager because I felt that we deserved SOMETHING, but she was not there. The young lady (Destiny - she was great) gave me her email address and I emailed her after we returned to DFW. I told her the situation, asked for some kind of compensation and after a week of no response, I emailed her again to let her know of my disappointment in her lack of addressing the situation. Her reply was only "sorry for the late response, I've forwarded your email to Janet Lemond and have issued points regarding the issues." Hello? That addresses my email? I responded to the email to ask when I would hear from Janet and was she able to issue compensation for the stay? No response....again. Talk about bad customer service and not taking responsibility. I didn't initially escalate it to IHG - I wanted to give her time to respond and truly take care of the customer....she failed miserably. I'll be getting in touch with them to let them know just how bad this stay was....and I'll just stay at the Best Western next time... My lesson? Demand a new room regardless of how late or tired I am and escalate it at that second in time - even if they have to call the manager at midnight. Being nice got us nowhere - not even a real response from the management.

    Just okay, fairly clean. Bed was somewhat comfortable, but the pillows were just thrown on the bed. Bathrooms are dated and needs updating. Exterminator needs to be called for the silverfish in the bathroom. Just okay for a 1 night stay.

    After being stuck on I-10 for hours due to traffic, my wife and I just wanted a nice bed to rest. We chose Holiday Inn Express because they have been dependable in the past. Not the case here. The room we received was dirty and there was blood on the comforter and mattress. An hour later (now 2 am) we had a new room. Cleaner, but dilapidated. This place clearly operates on a lower tier. I’d compare to a medium range Motel. It sealed something for me. I’ll never veer from the Hilton/Marriott again. HIE still charged full price (more than a Hilton/Marriott 🤦‍♂️). Even charged for 2 WalMart brand bottle waters. If it wasn’t from exhaustion and being in the middle of nowhere, we would have rolled. Stay away, unless your desperate and even then be prepared for utter disappointment.

    I had no towels when I checked in, and had to ask for a washcloth for 2 days before getting any if that says anything. The staff at the front desk was nice, but there's definitely some issues there with house keeping an possibly upper management.
