  The rooms were really clean I like the amenities available. However the front desk lady with her arm in the sling she was nice . But also racist. The first thing she said was she liked to guess people's names. She said my Hispanic friend looked like a Javier while I (an obvious black woman) looked like a shamika. She said certain other things during the conversation that were also racist but it was the underhanded kind where you don't really catch it if you're not used to it.

  My experience today at candlewood was terrible ms Tina did not deliver first class service. My fiance he checked in and paid at 12:30 midnight but we did not get into the room until 1:22. Due to us being given a key that didn’t work. Thinking this would be a simple fix we went back down stairs hoping to hurry into the room due to us being tired however no. Ms Tina had two guest who were attempting to I guess bargain on the price of the room and negotiate lower fees constantly asking the prices of different rooms and small talking. After 30 minutes of this we asked politely to be given a new key to get into our room. However, ms Tina told us to wait. Clearly these guest were unsure if they’d be able to check in talking amongst each other about personal things and unprepared even talking to ms Tina about if their child’s play car would be stolen random topics and no actually urgency to get us into the room we had already paid for she told us to wait an entire hour went by without us getting into our room while they made small talk and finally at the end of an hour wait decided to pick a room after picking a room they discussed where they wanted to park with ms Tina while we still waited here. I feel it was unprofessional to carry small talk while we’re waiting an hour for a room we’ve already paid for not just that but she could have just given us another key or had them step aside while they discussed prices it should not have taken an hour to get into a room that was $100+ will not be returning and will advise if you come tired and late and ms Tina is here do not book. This was stressful and ruined my night. Oh and to top it off ms Tina did NOT apologize at all worst service I’ve ever experienced.

  The hotel was pretty good overall. It has convenient amenities like a washer and dryer, a gym, and a small kitchen, which made our stay much easier. However, the toilet in our room had an issue the whole time . It kept making loud running water noises and would not flush properly. We asked for it to be fixed, but unfortunately no one came. Other than that, the hotel was nice.
