- BEBarbara EvansJun 19, 20261.0Please check your rooms, the room was very clean, bathroom was super nice, but just before my husband turned off the TV he saw something crawling on it. Woke me up, caught and killed it only to find out it was a cockroach. Immediately called the front desk and told them we were checking out. The attendant on duty came up to the room and asked to see it and we did show it to him. He apologized and said that the rooms were just sprayed a few weeks ago. Offered us to stay at the sister hotel and have us pay for the room at the rate we were charged there, and to offer us 5000 extra points. This is around 12:00 AM. We said no, packed up and headed back home after driving all day from Michigan. Needless to say, but we will never stay at any hotel from now on.

Headed down to Little Switzerland NC I got sort of a late start on my Goldwing out of Chicagoland at about 2 p.m. on Thursday June 11th. I didn't know where I was going to stay and came across this hotel about 10 p.m. The grounds were well-kept and hotel seemed fresh and new. The young man at the counter was exceedingly hospitable and professional. He shared information about a music festival that was going on and their shuttle and even gave me a bottle of water. It was so refreshing after a long day on the road. My room couldn't have been cleaner and the bed was super comfortable. I understand this hotel is technically only a 2-star, but I've stayed in much higher rated hotels that weren't as nice. I highly recommend this hotel!
