  No pool $30 a day to park and it's empty in the parking lot.....no dresser for your clothes and there are Many other more convenient and nicer hotels near by. Room is small bar and restaurant was closed VERY disappointed and do NOT recommend

  Worst experience I've had. I called the night coming in and said I wont be in until the morning, dont cancel my room. Yet, I arrive 8am next morning room canceled $300, worth of cancelation fees and rebooked room. Their GM has not fixed this, never available, and some how never calls back. I'm free, call me anytime, ill write a negative review every month until you do. I'll be happy to take this off once you call me. If every calls is "recorded for quality assurance" shouldn't be an issue to find our call

  I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Louisville on Muhammad Ali Boulevard, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had with the Holiday Inn brand. We checked in late Friday night, and immediately encountered problems with our room. It took three different rooms before we were finally placed in a room that was acceptable. The first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the bedding did not appear to be clean. We were moved to a second room, but that room also smelled like cigarette smoke and had a very stale odor. After having to move twice, the third room was acceptable. Saturday during the day was relatively okay, although I found the breakfast options to be fairly limited. Unfortunately, our experience took another major turn when we attempted to retrieve our vehicle from valet before leaving for a wedding. I called the valet for our vehicle but received no answer. When I went downstairs myself, we were informed that the security key needed to access the valet key box had been misplaced. What should have been a simple process turned into approximately 20 minutes of waiting while staff searched for the keys. This caused us to be approximately 30 minutes late for a wedding that we were specifically in Louisville to attend. My fiancé and I were extremely frustrated. What made the situation worse was that the valet staff did not seem to know what to do, and the front desk employee was also unable to provide clear assistance or explain the proper procedure for resolving the situation. After returning to the hotel Saturday night following the wedding and reception, we finally returned to our room hoping to get some rest. Unfortunately, while we were getting ready to go to sleep, the fire alarm went off, resulting in loud alarms, people yelling and moving through the hallways, and guests having to leave their rooms. While I understand that emergencies happen and that the hotel must prioritize safety, it added yet another disruption to an already disappointing stay. Additionally, when we returned to our room, housekeeping had lightly cleaned the room, but the odor from the cleaning/mopping products used actually made the room smell worse. Overall, this stay was extremely frustrating from beginning to end. Between having to change rooms multiple times because of cigarette smoke and cleanliness concerns, the valet/key situation that caused us to be late to a wedding, the lack of clear assistance from staff, the fire alarm disruption, and the unpleasant room odor, this experience did not meet the standard I expect from Holiday Inn. I am respectfully requesting that a manager contact me directly to discuss this experience and consider providing a refund for one night of our stay as a gesture of goodwill. I am not looking to create unnecessary conflict. I simply believe that given the number of issues we experienced during this stay, some form of compensation is appropriate. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve the guest experience moving forward.

  Came here for my birthday weekend to visit family and had the best time, honestly my night was made because of Donna the bartender!! she was the sweetest, nicest person and so fun to talk too! she has some great ideas and really cares for this hotel! would return just to see her again

  This was the most pleasant hotel stay ever. You are greeted with kindness from every single employee. The restaurant downstairs was clean and cozy environment and the food was perfect and a huge amount! The bartender was just so nice and makes amazing drinks. They have a nice rooftop place to hang out watch planes or just enjoy a comfortable safe nightlife vibe outside. The weather was perfect for it. The room super clean also. Will definitely be staying here next time in Louisville. And would recommend to family and friends. Plus its super close to and easy to get to Norton's and other surrounding hospitals if that's your main reason for the stay.
