  It's hard to say I enjoyed the hotel. There was also a very embarrassing incident at the beginning that I can't even write about. There was a children's activity in the hotel, the hotel is very noisy, even in the rooms, which is unpleasant.. They are very old, and they haven't renovated here in a long time. I paid a high price for the rooms. And in fact I ran away to another hotel for two days and returned the last night before the flight. I didn't enjoy it, but the service of the hotel staff is amazing! I want to mention the hotel staff, because of whom I gave 2 stars, and not 1. Do not recommend. I paid a high price and preferred to pay for another hotel just so I could enjoy my vacation.

  The hotel was incredibly busy and we had a couple things go wrong. That was at no fault of the hotel. The staff was amazing… The manager at night switched and upgraded our room… The staff at the front desk, especially Dana was incredibly helpful and friendly… The manager at the restaurant David bent over backwards to be helpful and do anything he could… Even though there were a couple issues with our Stay they bent over backwards to make everything right. Plus, the location is amazing for the expo center. The shuttle is so convenient and now mixed with the overwhelming support of the staff, I will definitely come back

  Great customer service is hard to find, especially at 6:30 in the morning, but Aaron absolutely made my day. He was working a double shift and still greeted everyone with a positive attitude and a smile. He went out of his way to surprise me with a complimentary Starbucks coffee, which was a small gesture that made a big impact on my wife’s and I morning. You could tell he genuinely cared about creating a good experience for customers despite putting in long hours. His kindness, energy, and professionalism deserve recognition. Employees like him are the reason people come back. Thank you for making my morning better Aaron! Love visiting this place from Ohio!

  Overall this was the worst Crowne Plaza we have ever stayed in. Noisy hotel with very poor to no service. 1. In 3 days emptied one of 2 waste baskets once. 2. Needs a sitting chair as bench was terrible. 3. Décor is dated and sparse. 3. Did not stock extra roll of toilet paper as back up, so check your room. 4. Convenient and easy to get to but that was about it. 5. Made reservations over a year in advance and they gave us a room off the lobby that looked at headlights in the parking lot with poor window shutters. 6. Toilet had a damaged toilet seat that was not updated with a simple $40 replacement, the shower tub was damaged and door in bath bottom peeling and water damaged. 7. Put a bottom door seal on door to room to help control the noisy from the hallway, especially at 2 am in the morning. This normal $89 room is pricey especially during the Derby when prices are jacked up and service falls. Recommend staying some where else, perhaps downtown until this place gets a major room update with more sound proofing and better finishes. Unfortunately we enjoy our trips this is not a place to go to do so and will avoid Crowne Plazas now as an option due to this poor representation. They should make it one of there lower end chains as is not Crowne Plaza quality. Due to weekend band that was so loud could not even use bar area to converse, had to take dinner to room. Band was too loud and need to tune it down. It should be part of the atmosphere not a noise detraction. Overall made our Derby stay pretty poor.
