  Hotel under renovation. Rooms are updated, but lobby is being worked on. No breakfast and no where to sit in the lobby.

  Hotel was under renovation when we stayed there so if we had an issue we had to use our cellphone to call the hotel as the phones didn't work, if the check-in person stepped away for a break there wasn't another person to help so I think my experience would have been better if it was not for it being under renovation.

  UNDER REMODELING CONSTRUCTION and it still was one of the best stays in an IHG Hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I travel a lot. We were there for the Alabama (Roll Tide) at Kentucky game. It was clean and close enough to get there and back. The rooms were clean and mostly peaceful. Someone was stomping upstairs. But you get that at any hotel. The breakfast was terrific, especially the waffles. We will be back here.

  My husband and I stayed at Staybridge suites Leestown Lexington two nights for the Kentucky vs Alabama football game. Our stay was great, the rooms were very clean as well as the other areas of the hotel. Some of the hotel is under renovation but there was no noise or inconveniences. While under renovation they have you entering the hotel through the side entrance. We will stay here again for our next game day attendance! So conveniently located to Starbucks, Drakes, Kroger fuel, and many other stores. Took is no time to get to the game or back to the hotel from the game.

  I understand renovations, and I knew the hotel was being renovated when we booked. Renovations aren't the problem. The way the hotel handled them absolutely was. If you're going to close the lobby and put up signs directing guests to use the side entrances, it would probably be a good idea to make sure guests can actually get through those entrances. Both doors were locked. We tried both doors, knocked, banged on them, rattled them—nothing. There was no bell and not even a sign telling us to ring a bell or otherwise get someone's attention. Had a construction worker not happened to let us in, I'm not sure how long we would have been standing outside trying to figure out how to enter the hotel. What made the situation worse was the response from the person working the temporary front desk. There was no apology or even much concern. Instead, she told us both entrances were "supposed to have bells." When I explained that we'd tried both doors and neither one had a bell—or even a sign mentioning one—her response was essentially that she thought they were supposed to. That's not particularly helpful to guests standing outside a locked hotel. After I pressed the issue, she assured us she would check on it after she finished checking us in. Based on the complete lack of urgency or concern up to that point, I have very little confidence that happened. Renovations cause inconveniences. That's understandable. Directing your paying guests to locked entrances with no functioning way to get inside, while the employee responsible for checking them in sits at a temporary desk apparently unable to hear them trying to get her attention, is not a renovation problem. It's a management and customer-service problem.
