    What a great stay! We found ourselves in a horrific monsoon style storm on the outskirts of Lexington late at night and decided it was not safe to continue. We arrived with no reservations to find a loaded parking lot. Upon entering, we were greeted by a host named Jon who was in the middle of helping 2 other sets of guests who seemed to have a lot of needs. When we reached our que in line, he greeted us with a smile and was most helpful in locating us a room in addition to making sure we could pre register in the rewards program for a discount and points. He told us that the pool was open for use, but that he was still in the process of washing and drying the towels. I thought to myself, 'Wow, what a busy fella. Dressed in a vest and tie while multitasking check-ins and housekeeping chores". He found us a room on the first floor close to everything. The room was exceptionally clean both to the eye and nose. AC was on point and kept the room nice and chilly as well as moisture free. They even folded the bathroom tissue roll into a flower for that cruise style vacation experience. We did enjoy a dip in the pool which we found to be a comfortable temperature as well. Clean water, no grit on the bottom, and clearly softened water. When choosing a hotel, we have only 2 'must haves'...an indoor pool, and a hot breakfast. This venue met both of those and did not disappoint. Whole in the pool, Jon from the front desk appeared and delivered us fresh sets of freshly folded warm towels that he had just finished preparing. It was impressive that he remembered that we would be in there and needing them with all that he seemed to have going on around him. He was a most gracious host. Will definitely recommend this venue to any travellers finding their way into the Lexington area whether encountered elsewhere or as a destination point! The only minor issue we experienced was that the hallway doors were not able to hold out the excessive rainfall. The carpets in the hall near our room got soaked and were squishy during our stay. We put a towel down inside our doorway to wipe our feet when coming in and made sure to wear shoes when venturing through the hotel.

    This is probably the cleanest Holiday Inn we’ve stayed in and the staff is very nice. It’s a safe and convenient location too! We’ll be back.
