  Refrigerator made noise all night keeping me awake but couldn't unplug due to food inside. Desk clerk was rude. Made call to customer service and received incident number but never got call back. Manager said would call me back with resolution and never did. Not happy with this hotel chain and most likely won't use again. We travel alot for sports and will share others. Price was high for non tourist area also. Front desk would not price match either.

  Breakfast was very good. Hot and fresh every morning. Several different toiletries available if you run out or forgot something at home. So far, everyone at the service desk has been very nice. They took care of our needs. The rooms were not that bad. It's a typical room for a three-star hotel. It's clean. They do allow pets with a pet fee. One thing I would suggest for this hotel to do, is to shampoo their carpets. My kids feet were very dirty whenever they walked on the carpet. I had to keep shoes and socks on them at all times. But overall this was a good stay. It's one of the best Holiday Inns I've stayed in.

  Where to start, I travel a LOT. This hotel is clearly being run into the ground.. plastic mattress protector, thin sheets, cheap towels, bad smells and now bug bites on my legs… this isn’t a manager issue, this is an owner issue. If this is how you want to run your hotel then my complaint isn’t going to get anything solved and any response would be meaningless. I’ll just add this to my company’s “do not stay” list

  First room had a large puddle on carpet beneath the a/c unit. The front desk lady told me that was common when it's hot outside (to me, an indication that the a/c units are just poorly maintained). The second room, 2 queens, hadn't been cleaned well and the sheets hand been changed after the last guests. The beds had just been re-made in a lazy fashion, very noticeable. Both beds had hair all over the sheets on the inside and were clearly not fresh sheets. I got two new sets of sheets and we had to change them ourselves. After changing the sheets it was even further confirmed that the fist sheets hadn't been changed. The desk and counter had also not been cleaned. We put the old sheets in the hallway by the door and they remained there until we left the next day. The shower was horrible. The a/c barely did its job and was very loud. Just a run-down hotel. Doesn't deserve to be an IHG brand, definitely not a 3-star. The breakfast was good enough. Other guests complained about things too.

  I was in the area with my family visiting Mammoth Cave. If you leave the hotel lot, take a right, and it’s a direct, beautiful countryside drive (just over 20 minutes) to the national park parking lot for the visitor center. You’ll drive until you come to a stop sign, and you can plainly see that you take one more right & you find your parking spot. Very easy and a lovely scenic drive on top of that. The bad reviews had me nervous on the way in, so this is mostly a review to say that all the criticisms I saw were unfair or overblown. The construction? It’s for the lot next door, it had zero impact on accessing the hotel, and when it’s finished, it’s going to be a Speedway that’s walking distance from the hotel parking lot. It looks like it’ll only be a few more months. The cleanliness? I would never argue with an individual’s experience because human errors can always occur, but not only was our room clean, but the housekeeping ladies were incredibly friendly sweethearts. The interstate noise? It’s rural Kentucky. It’s not pitch quiet, but you’re not hearing city traffic. It’s just vehicles quietly clipping along to wherever they’re going. The lack of a manager on duty? The assistant manager checked me out himself. The wear and tear on things? Everything looks nice; there are signs of wear and tear in some of the seat cushions in the dining area, but it wasn’t egregious. I’d be more surprised to see it in a hotel in Miami or Atlanta than in a rural community, but it wasn’t offensively worn out. It’s over all nice and clean and just looks like they haven’t replaced it yet. Be aware there is no hot tub. The pool was perfect for us, although it was a little heavy on whatever chemicals they use. It aggravated my rosacea & my son’s eczema (which doesn’t happen in the pools we go to back home); it did not bother the other members of my family. My son still wanted to go swimming every day, so it wasn’t that bad. Just a heads up if you have sensitive skin! Still, it was nice to have a pool so we could do something for the kids without having to drive anywhere. Everyone on staff I interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. Most of the other customers we interacted with were friendly, too, and because this is such a small town, we’re all pretty much here for the same reason, so we got advice on cave tours from other customers (such as, it’s not as cold in the cave s they hype it up to be — you’re going to love it in this heat & you’re walking the whole time, so you don’t need a jacket unless you run cold). All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we’re in the area in the future.
