  An odd odor was evident throughout the whole hotel. It was clean but still smelled odd. Right near the highway. Very loud all night. There is a white noise machine in the room, but it didn’t mask the truck noises. Breakfast was weak. No coffee maker in the room. No orange juice. No pancakes. No English muffins. No wheat bread.

  Unfortunately, we experienced the worst customer service while staying at this hotel. We asked to speak with management regarding a concern. The hotel manager was never available (multiple days) and would not authorize the desk clerk to resolve the situation. Corporate Holiday Inn customer service was untimely as it took months to get any resolution/response. Additionally the hotel at this location is old and needs remodeling. Fresh paint doesn’t cover the issues.

  Management and Holiday Inn should be ashamed of current conditions and how poor they've become. The tub, floors, chairs, and surfaces were all absolutely filthy, and the sheets appeared slept in. I'm disgusted. At what point does management pause responding to customer complaints long enough to pick up a mop? We used to stay here once or twice each year, but NEVER again!

  Location is great if you're staying at Mammoth Cave. The hotel is clean enough. If you just need a bed and a decent breakfast, 100%!!!! However, if you want water pressure and functional internet, not the place for you. I was lucky to get 1 mb if the wind blew right. It was mostly less than that. That'd be amazing in 2001. It's insane that in 2026 I can't do work while I'm waiting for my family. Wild.

  Beware of unexpected charges after checkout! My wife and I stayed here for one night, and several days after checking out, the hotel charged my credit card an additional $95 for alleged blood stains on the bedding. This accusation was completely false. Neither of us had any cuts, injuries, or bleeding, and we left the room in perfectly normal condition. When I called to dispute the charge, the hotel refused to provide photographs or any evidence supporting its accusation. Instead, they simply charged my card without ever notifying me or giving me an opportunity to respond. What makes this even more disturbing is that I found another Google review from a guest reporting a nearly identical experience—an unexpected charge for alleged bedding stains that the guest also disputed. My advice: If you stay here, take pictures of EVERYTHING before you check out, especially the bedding and mattress. Apparently, you may need proof of how you left the room to protect yourself from unexpected charges. I've stayed in countless hotels and have never experienced anything like this. Extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable. I would never stay here again.
