- LVLeigh VandermeerApr 22, 20264.0I love Holiday Inn Express and make a point to use it exclusively as best as possible, but after staying at this hotel in Bowling Green, KY, I was deeply disappointed to see that there is no longer a coffee maker in the room. They generously provide coffee/tea 24 hrs a day in their lobby, but now I can't relax and drink a cup of coffee in my room while getting dressed before checkout. Yes, I could go downstairs and get a cup, but would then have to get dressed first. It defeats the purpose for me. Deeply sad to see this change. I sure hope it's not happening with all IHG /Holiday Inn Express hotels. That's why I did not give this particular location 5 stars.

They immediately recognized our IHG card membership and surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, which was a fantastic touch and very much appreciated! The upgraded room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. In the morning, we were really impressed with the complimentary breakfast. It was great, offering plenty of hot and cold options to choose from, and everything was kept well-stocked and clean by the hardworking breakfast staff. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Great service, excellent perks for IHG members, and a wonderful breakfast to start the day right. We will definitely be staying here again! Our only suggestion would be a small stool under the bathroom sink for little children to reach the faucet and soap dispensers.
