  It is difficult to rate this hotel because it was a dichotomy of good and not good. I'll start with the good. The staff was great. they were friendly, helpful, and always available. The entry and halls were bright, clean, and unlike many hotels the halls were very comfortable temperature considering the heat wave we are having this summer. The breakfast was free and very good. it has a wide variety of options hot and cold. Everything that was supposed to be warm was well cooked and ready to eat. Everything that was cold was well refrigerated. The tables were clean. The beds were comfortable. Now the not so good. The pool had some mild mold in the bottom. I am used to swimming in ponds and creeks when I was young so it didn't bother me, but I'm sure some people would not appreciate it. There were no towels in the pool room. We had to ask for towels every time we used the pool. The second day we were heading out for a ride and the door wouldn't latch. To the hotel's credit it was fixed by the time we returned. When we were packing up to leave my wife discovered little ants all over. They got into here shoes and here luggage. As you can imagine she was not very happy. The bottom line is this could be a very nice place to stay if these little issues were corrected.

  We've stayed in Bardstown for vacation multiple times but this was our first time staying at this hotel. As a newer build we were expecting better but sadly it was a bit of a mixed bad. We weren't told until after checking in that all the TVs were out so that was a bit dissapointing. The handle on my toilet appeared to have some sort of foreign matter still on the handle and my parents had ants in their room. The A/C worked fine in their room but mine didn't work nearly as well and I woke up at night soaked in sweat. The pool bottom was green with alge. For the upside: breakfast was good, staff friendly, and guest laundry useful. Easy walking distance to a great Mexican restaurant too. I almost forgot, we were there two nights and when we went to leave for a day ride the lock on my parent's door wouldn't work so the room was unlocked for the day until maintenance could come to fix it.

  Bed sheets were stained. Shower was luke warm at the hottest setting and water pressure was low. The room had no tv service as well. Staff was nice though.

  Had an issue checking in - front desk seemed new, let's say. Things were resolved after we contacted IHG directly as we are members. Our room did not get cleaned the next day so we had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. They didn't have enough towels for two people in the room! The room itself was big and updated. Centrally located to everything you may be looking to do - whether the bourbon trail or visiting Louisville for the day.

  We were pleasantly surprised with our experience at this location. Our entire experience was positive from check in to check out. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and supplied well. Morning breakfast was satisfying.
