  I stay at this hotel for the convenience when I visit family and generally for its customer service. This visit was absolutely terrible. It wasn't that the elevator was broken and we had to use the stairs. It wasn't that the pool was broken (again) and our grandbabies couldn't swim. It wasn't that the ice machine was broken on the main floor. It wasn't that the breakfast area was not up to par for cleanliness or food. Sometimes circumstances are out of our control BUT we are always in control of customer service. Upon check in I experienced someone who was very unprofessional and I identified their misbehavior. If you work with the public then you need to remember your words, attitude and gesture even if your tone is attempting to be polite.

  Stopped here recently, first stay here, checking in late after a long day of travel. Clerk at desk was super friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, beds were great, hot water for showers...great stay. Morning crew was equally friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was exactly as expected....it's the cinnamon rolls that keep us coming back!!! Great job Ashland...can't believe we've passed you up so many times.

  Our floors in our room were disgusting. Like something had been spilled months ago and the dirt dried into all of the sticky mess. The ceilings were leaking in the hallway so there were piles of towels you had to navigate around. The pool was closed for cleaning both days. The shower was dirty and felt like I was camping and using the outdoor showers. The parking is not ideal. Definitely not worth the cost but not the worst place I have ended up in.

  Family stopover during long road trip after visiting East Coast for daughter's graduation. IHG members... Overall, good service. Very kind and helpful staff. They were warm and always greeted us. Breakfast was nice but they only had two pieces of dried out fruit and no yogurt. Upon entering, I was surprised how much trash was in the parking lot and adjacent areas and also how overgrown the weeds were in the parking lot - some weeds were knee high. There was broken glass, parts of vapes, lots of cigarette butts and it just reflected a lack of pride by management/owners in an otherwise nice facility. Not even kidding when I say I was half tempted to clean up the broken glass for them. Inside the lobby was interesting. The waste/trash bins were overflowing and liquid was running out onto the floor. The waste can outside the elevator was overflowing with beer cans and smelled like beer and stale cigarettes. It takes a housekeeping staff five minutes to remedy things like this and makes a much better impression. We chatted with fellow guests at breakfast. A large group of young kids (age 6-10) were allowed to run and scream in the hallways, knocking on doors and running at 12am for an extended period of time and we had two hang up calls to our room after midnight. The hallways were littered with candy wrappers and trash. Overall...generous 4* (should be 2*) and that is only because of the staff and their warm smiles. This is surprising to us as we frequent IHG. Room was good. Clean. Large. Good amenities. Sleep quality was decent - some road noise but interrupted by unsupervised children.

  Room was dirty when we arrived and the air was off so room was extremely hot. We turned the air on around 4pm, went to an event and when we got back there was water all in the floor in puddles near air conditioning area. We went down to talk to front desk staff. She was outside smoking with someone (maybe a boyfriend) so we waited for her to come back in. She was apologetic but said there wasn’t anything she could do and they were booked up so she couldn’t offer us another room. She gave us a stack of hand towels and shower mats verses towels to dry it up. We laid them all in the floor and tried to soak up water. When we woke up the water had spread to past the first bed and was seeping under the entire bed. We went down stairs to ask when someone was going to come look at it and she acted as thought she didn’t even know there was an issue. Sad maintenance came in at 10. We went to an event and was headed back for a nap around 2pm and called to confirm it was ready and they didn’t know. So we arrived and found water still in floor after we were told it was fixed and cleaned. Wet towels still in room and puddles still standing. I went to front desk again and told them what was going on which the staff handed me about 5 more towels and said they came and looked at it and they were sorry it was an issue. They were very rude and asked if I needed housekeeping or not? So I just said no I’m exhausted since we were up late getting the mess taken care of last night and now just want to take a nap. We weren’t able to have my kids sleep on that side of bed because the water was literally puddling all in floor the entire time we were there. Hallway trash was there all 3 days we were there. Never cleaned up, ice machines not working on level 3, elevator floors black from dirt, rooms dirty, room smelled musty I’m guessing from water issues not being fixed. I can only imagine the mold issues from the water issues from just when we stayed there.
