  One of our new regular stops between our routine Texas and Minnesota drives. Clean, quiet, reasonable pet fees and right next to a QT and several food options.

  I had an amazing stay at this Best Western! The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The customer service was honestly 20/10—every staff member I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. One thing that really stood out was when I was trying to buy a Coke from the front desk but realized I didn't have enough money. The front desk employee kindly gave me one for free. It was such a small gesture, but it really showed how much they care about their guests. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent. The pancake machine was on point, and everything was fresh and tasty. As an added bonus, there's a Taco Bell right next door. Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place with outstanding customer service.

  What great service, I am a Veteran- living in Guam- grew up in Derby and visiting my dad that is sick. A lot of worries on my mind but to be greeted so nicely, all staff very pleasant- always cleaning, what a great experience. I am the Property Chief Steward at Dusit Thai in Guam, a 5 Star hotel and coming here, WOW- I am not sure the rating here but if I was in the board, and 2nd year here- 5 STAR SERVICE. Thanks for supporting Veterans living in Guam and a Derby Kansas native..

  Based on briefly looking at the pictures (my mistake 🤦‍♂️), I booked, expecting one of the renovated Best Westerns. I got the other kind, the one where renovation apparently meant new fixtures in the same old building that smells strongly of curry. Not what I had in mind. I want to acknowledge that I chose to stay at a Best Western in Wichita, Kansas. That's a me problem. I'm not running from it. Front desk check-in was a silent transaction. No greeting, no acknowledgment, just a stare that suggested I was interrupting something important. Moving on. The shower had a high-efficiency head installed, which meant the water came out with very little enthusiasm. The wall-mounted toiletry pumps were a thoughtful touch, except they smelled like jasmine and asafoetida, an odd combination I was not expecting and cannot fully explain. Breakfast was sparse. They were using ketchup and salt packets to fill in the gaps on the buffet, never a great sign. The pancake machine had no batter, and there was no staff around to notice or care. The whole place had that quality where everything looks functional until you actually try to use it, like a prop from a dystopian sci-fi movie where civilization is pretending to be fine. They were really hoping you wouldn't look too closely. As a final flourish, an employee ripped through the parking lot on my way out and nearly hit my car. Consistent experience start to finish, I'll give them that. One star. Next time I'm trying the Winds Hotel.
