  Everything was broken or not working for our latest trip. We couldn’t do laundry on site, the staff had zero suggestions of tips for where to go. The pool was less than desirable - only going to 4ft, and the spa (hot tub), was cooler than the pool. The elevator broke, the water pressure sucked and our conditioner ran out; we never tried to use the weight room due to our other experiences. Now the good things - the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was good and the location was great.

  Floor was damp in front of AC. No hair dryer. Hand soap dispenser two feet away from sink. Employee at check in was pleasant. Employee at checkout barely looked up from her phone and did not thank me or ask how my stay was. She did not speak.

  This Holiday Inn Express is not up to standard for the chain. Furniture in the lobby needs to be replaced, dead landscaping needs to be removed/replaced, outdoor lights need to be replaced, carpet in the room was not clean, outlets in the room were loose making it difficult to charge devices. This place is getting run down. It was a good location for us, but next time we visit family in the area, we will drive further instead of staying here again.

  Do not stay here! I really wanted to love this hotel, and would have...until we found bed bugs in our room. It all went down hill from there. Below is a portion of the email I sent to management. We were given a small refund that did not even cover 1 night of our stay, and have since been denied further reinbursement despite taking it up the chain to IHG corporate. Now we are at a standstill will no further response. Extremely disappointing, but I will keep trying. The measures we've had to take in order to prevent a potential infestation in our home from our luggage has been exhausting. On June 12, 2026, the second day of our stay in room 402, we discovered a live bed bug on a pillow that had fallen to the floor in our room. We collected the insect and immediately reported it to the front desk. Despite reporting a confirmed bed bug, we were not offered an alternate room at that time. The following day, June 13, 2026, we found a second live bed bug in the bathtub. Once again, we collected the insect and provided it to the front desk staff. Only after this second confirmed sighting were we moved to a different room for our final night. Unfortunately, the problems continued after the room change. At approximately 12:45 a.m. on June 14, 2026, we were awakened by an individual repeatedly attempting to enter our room (322) using a key card. It appears that the front desk staff did not properly document the room change, resulting in the room being double booked. As you can imagine, this interruption was alarming and upsetting for our family, particularly our children, who were frightened by someone repeatedly trying to enter our room in the middle of the night. After informing the individual that the room was occupied, the front desk subsequently called our room twice during the night to verify our identity. As a result, we were unable to get adequate rest during what should have been our first opportunity for a comfortable night's sleep. While the front desk receptionist was very kind and apologetic, I was extremely disappointed that, despite knowing management was present during our stay, I was never given the opportunity to speak directly with a manager regarding these serious concerns. Instead, we were advised that a manager would be in contact with us. No such communication ever occurred.
