  IHG Should Urgently Review the Standards at This Hotel The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is its location. We were in Manhattan to help our daughter move into the university, and the hotel is conveniently located directly across from campus. We chose it because we trusted the Holiday Inn and IHG name and assumed it would provide an acceptable standard of quality. Unfortunately, despite charging rates that are far from inexpensive, the experience was shockingly poor. The restaurant was dirty, with sticky surfaces and an unpleasant atmosphere. The food was disappointing, and the staff were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome. This was especially surprising because nearly everyone else we met throughout Kansas was genuinely kind and hospitable. Our room was not properly cleaned, and the bathroom door did not work correctly. For two days, we practically had to beg the staff to clean our room. Basic housekeeping should never require repeated requests from a paying guest. The fitness center was disorganized, the air conditioning was not working, and there was no drinking water available. The guest laundry facilities were also out of service. These were not isolated inconveniences; they reflected a broader and very concerning lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and attention to detail throughout the property. The poor service continued when we needed transportation to Manhattan Regional Airport. The hotel did not have a driver available, and the front desk employee could not even tell us whether Uber operated at the time we needed to leave. We were simply told to “try it.” There was no effort to verify availability, help us arrange transportation, or suggest a reliable alternative. That response perfectly summarizes the overall experience: the guest simply does not seem to matter here. At no point did we feel that anyone was genuinely interested in helping us or ensuring that our stay met even the most basic hospitality standards. Service, infrastructure, cleanliness, food quality, maintenance, and attention to detail were all far below expectations. In my opinion, this felt more like a half-star hotel than a property carrying the Holiday Inn name. The IHG brand promises a certain level of reliability and hospitality, but this hotel failed to deliver it in virtually every area. IHG should urgently review this property because, based on our experience, the Holiday Inn name is far too big for the standards currently being offered here. I would not recommend this hotel, and I would certainly not stay here again.

  Antonio at the front desk provided exceptional service during our recent visit to the Holiday Inn at the Campus. We encountered a personal issue during our trip that was unrelated to the hotel, yet Antonio was quick to assist us and helped resolve the situation. His willingness to go above and beyond made a significant difference in our visit. On our next trip to Manhattan, we will definitely stay at Holday Inn at the Campus because of the service we received from Antonio.

  This is an older hotel but has been very well cared for. Quentin was the desk clerk that checked us in and he is a delight! He is very warm and approachable. Our room was clean, the hygiene products were Dove brand and tamper proof, and the beds were very comfortable. We slept very well here and would definitely do so again.

  Wehad a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is in a fantastic location—convenient for both business and leisure travelers, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my visit. Breakfast is a highlight—fresh, hot options that start the day right. Just remember to pick up your breakfast ticket at the front desk be each morning; it’s a simple process and totally worth it for the quality of the meal. The front desk staff were welcoming and efficient, always ready to help with any requests. The entire property felt well-maintained and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the Holiday Inn Manhattan at the Campus to anyone visiting the area. Great value, solid amenities, and a comfortable home base
