  Never been to an Avid before, but we’re IHG Rewards Members, so decided to give it a try. Great location for stopping en route from Denver to St. Louis. Front desk staff very friendly, Cruz super helpful as we checked in. The following morning we met Elizabeth working in the breakfast area; she was helpful and friendly bright and early at 6 am. Jonathan at the front desk was also friendly and conversational as we enjoyed breakfast. A nice place to stay, would definitely stay again. Rooms are simple but very comfortable. We also went to Gella’s in town for dinner—highly recommend! Delicious food and quite the variety! Would definitely stop through here again!

  This is the first time I stayed at an Avid Hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the amenities are good, the rooms are clean. The rooms are smaller than the larger hotels in this company, but just the right size for a short ‘on the way’ stay. The location was an Eaton and easy off from the interstate and I noticed minimal traffic noise. Plus, it is a cost effective nights stay

  My husband made a reservation for us to stay from Saturday to Sunday. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our stay. The hotel was not clean at all. The floors by the elevator were dirty, the bathroom had stains, and there were hairs all over the beds. It honestly looked like the sheets hadn’t even been changed. We drove all the way from Colorado, and by the time we got there it was already late. We thought about asking for a refund, but we were exhausted and just wanted to get some sleep and rest. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I was very disappointed.

  As others have mentioned, the floors in the room were dirty. It was clear that housekeeping didn't even try. Responses here from the hotel sound promising, but I'm guessing they need an entirely new cleaning crew. If that was the only issue, I wouldn't have minded. However, in addition, we were disappointed at the (VERY) mini fridge that wasn't cold, a room so small that we couldn't move around well with no table on which to enjoy dinner, and only one ice machine for the entire hotel (needless to say it couldn't keep up). Staff was friendly, room was quiet, and breakfast was good. But as my husband put it, they seem to have cut corners, which really makes them a cheap hotel masquerading as modern. We likely won't stay again.

  My daughter, my dad, and I recently stayed at the Avid Hotel in Hays, Kansas, and we had an excellent experience from beginning to end. When we arrived, the lobby was spotless and gave us a great first impression. We were warmly welcomed by a young man named Cruz, who greeted us with a smile and a wonderful sense of humor that immediately made us feel at home. I was traveling to Hays for a medical procedure, so I had a few special requests. I had reserved a second room because we were expecting another family member to join us, and it was important that both rooms be located close together. I also requested rooms on the top floor and asked for daily housekeeping service. Cruz went above and beyond to accommodate every request without hesitation. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. Throughout our stay, whenever he saw us in the lobby, he made a point to check in and ask how everything was going and if there was anything we needed. That level of genuine customer service is becoming rare and was greatly appreciated. Our housekeeper, who cared for Room 403 from July 16–18, also deserves recognition. She did an outstanding job every single day. The room smelled fresh and clean each time we returned, and everything was immaculate. It's clear she takes great pride in her work, and it made our stay even more comfortable during a stressful time. We also had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, who was very friendly and easy to talk with. It's always encouraging to see leadership that is welcoming and engaged with guests. From the exceptional customer service to the spotless accommodations, every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Avid Hotel in Hays to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with a staff that truly cares about its guests. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Hays!
