  Awesome got there after midnight. I booked it at 11 something got there guy said I have no idea why website charged u what they did but im gonna fix that and I got way better deal without asking!!

  I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Seymour was disappointing. We arrived before check-in and completely understood that our room might not be ready until the 3:00 PM check-in time. We were happy to wait in the lobby and were patient throughout the afternoon. The issue wasn't the delay itself but the customer service. When we arrived around 1:30 PM, my husband asked if our room happened to be ready. The front desk employee laughed and simply said "no." When my husband responded by asking if that was how guests were typically greeted, the employee quickly backtracked, didn't look at the computer or take his name, just that check in was at 3pm. Come to find out that no one was allowed a check in time before 3pm on the dot... not us, however. At 3:00 PM, I approached the desk to check on our room. Before I could even say anything, the same front desk employee pointed at the lady who just got there and said to me, "You'll have to go to her." The employee who helped me was equally unpleasant and stated that she had no idea when our room would be ready, had no estimated timeline, and that it could be another two hours. at 3:12 PM I was walking by the front desk when one of the other families asked if we had finally got our room. I said 'No, they said it could be anytime in the next two hours.' A family who was also waiting for their room was shocked and asked the front desk lady if there was a 2-hour uncertainty as well. The lady at the desk snapped that it was 'only 10 after 3 and hotel policy is check in at 3pm.' The other family asked again, 'is it going to be two hours though?' and the front desk lady snapped again and yelled 'I don't know if it is going to be 2 hours.' I walked out. At 3:45 PM, after checking a fourth time, I was informed that our room had actually 'been ready the entire time' and that staff had been looking under the wrong name. Which is weird because I gave her my husband's name every time (he is who the reservation was under) and they told me they were looking under a woman's name with our last name. After waiting all afternoon, that was incredibly frustrating to hear, and I can't help but think they were trying to save themselves to say our room was actually ready on time. To make matters worse, when I asked about the rollaway bed we requested at the time of booking, I was told they were sold out and none were available. When I said, 'they shouldn't be sold out because we requested one when we booked so it should have been on our reservation.' and their response was, 'I don't know what you want me to do about it, they sold out yesterday.' Mistakes happen. Rooms run behind. Names get entered incorrectly. What was disappointing was the lack of communication, the dismissive attitude from multiple front desk employees, and the fact that we spent nearly an hour past check-in waiting for a room that had apparently been ready all along. A little professionalism and courtesy would have gone a long way. I will also add that we stayed there last year and had a great experience.
