  I wrote a review about a year ago hoping these issues would be addressed. Unfortunately, after staying here six times over the past two years, I can honestly say almost nothing has changed. The biggest issue is still the pool. Every single visit, we’re told it’s being worked on, needs maintenance, or will be available “next time.” We’ve heard that promise over and over. Out of all six of our stays, my child has only been able to swim once. We visit Salem specifically so he can spend time with his best friend, and swimming is one of the things they look forward to the most. Locals have told us it’s only open on Saturdays, and based on our experience, I have no reason to believe it’s consistently open even then. At this point, I don’t plan on it being available no matter what we’re told. The listing still mentions a hot tub, but there isn’t one. I somehow keep forgetting that until we arrive, and it’s disappointing every time. This stay introduced a new problem. Our room smells overwhelmingly like marijuana. It’s so strong that I genuinely wondered if someone had left a bag of weed somewhere in the room. I’m traveling with my child, and neither of us should have to fall asleep surrounded by that smell. The inconsistencies with billing and reservations also continue. Over the years, I’ve had multiple cards charged, incorrect authorization amounts, and even an attempted charge of more than double my stay that staff later said was an accident. On a previous visit, housekeeping even knocked on our door expecting us to check out a full day early despite our reservation extending another night. It seems like every visit has some sort of confusion with either our reservation or payment. To be fair, the staff has never been rude. Lacey continues to be one of the most helpful employees we’ve dealt with here, and I appreciate her professionalism. The hotel provides a place to sleep, shower, and the basic breakfast is acceptable for what it is. The frustrating part is that these are not new complaints. They’re the exact same issues I wrote about a year ago. I kept coming back because there are very few lodging options in the area, and I genuinely hoped things would improve. Instead, it’s been the same experience visit after visit. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but after six stays in two years, it’s clear these aren’t isolated incidents—they’ve become the norm. If the pool were consistently open as advertised, rooms were kept free of marijuana odors, and reservations and billing were handled more consistently, this hotel would provide a much better experience for the many visitors who don’t have many other choices nearby.

  I had an excellent stay at SureStay. Friendly check-in experience and the hotel was clean, and the rooms were comfortable with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. A special thank you to Nick, who went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. He was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with everything. The manager was very welcoming and clearly that they take pride in satisfying guest expectations.

  Excellent stay from start to finish. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the hotel was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. PS, they were so nice that they went out of their way to help me specifically wanting snacks. Thanks guys!

  Not the best hotel in anyway. One of the beds in our room had no sheet, shower curtain has mold on it, bathroom door does not close properly, and the wifi is non existent. Called the desk multiple times with no answer and went to the desk and waited forever for to reach the desk. Will not stay here again.

  -NO Wifi-The room is ok for like a cheap motel, not fully cleaned, missing bed sheets, left over food, bathroom door doesn't work, wifi signal sucks legit cant connect to it in our room stuck with scrappy cable. Exterior is nice and good parking but still has some things to fix up before its worth the price.
