    On July 3, I checked in, and the female front desk attendant (no name tag) was changing shifts and rushing out the door. As she was leaving, she told the male front desk attendant that my room was not ready and to check me into Room 107 instead. After he checked me in, I immediately noticed a strong smell of mold and mildew as soon as I opened the door. The entire carpet was wet, and there was visible black mold around the window. My daughter has asthma, and almost immediately she began coughing and wheezing. I contacted IHG Customer Service and asked if we could be moved to the Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot. They explained they were unable to transfer us to another property but would contact the hotel manager to have our room changed. We were then moved to Room 207. While Room 207 was better, it still had maintenance issues, including a large crack in the shower wall. On July 4, the front desk attendant had their children at work, and they were running throughout the hotel. They even approached my teenage daughter and nephew and asked if they wanted to play on the different floors and in the gym. I found this to be very unprofessional. Later that day, my daughter and nephew went to get a luggage cart. While they were in the elevator, two men made a comment that there was women’s underwear on the second floor. Because no employees were wearing name tags, my daughter had no way of knowing whether these men were hotel employees or guests, which made the situation feel unsettling. Throughout our stay, my daughter continued coughing and sneezing. On July 5, my daughter was still coughing and sneezing. I looked closely at the window in our room and again found black mold and mildew. Her asthma worsened, and she required several breathing treatments because of her asthma attack. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. Between the mold, the condition of the rooms, the maintenance issues, and the unprofessional environment, our stay was extremely disappointing. I have stayed at several IHG properties over the years and have always expected much better. Because of these conditions and the impact they had on my daughter’s health, I am requesting a full refund for our stay.

    No coffee maker in room, bathtub stuck on shower head, have to jiggle toilet handle. Priced like Sheraton, room more like motel 6.

    One of the nicer Candlewood suites we've stayed in. Their pet fee is quite high, but the rooms are nice, and staff is outstanding

    Overall very nice and clean hotel!.. I can't stress enough how well kept this hotel is.. Candlewood Suites will be my number 1 choice Everytime I'm in the area!
