Stayed at Holiday Inn Indianapolis Downtown (May 9–10, 2026) for a one-night visit at a rate of $612.99.
Upon arrival around 3:40 PM, there was a very long check-in line with 25+ guests waiting outside the building. The process was disorganized and resulted in a significant delay before being able to access my room after traveling.
Once checked in, the overall experience continued to feel below expectations for the price point. Breakfast was not complimentary and was $9.50 for a lobby breakfast without this being clearly communicated in advance.
After contacting IHG Guest Relations, I was offered 10,000 points as goodwill compensation, which I was told is the maximum adjustment available. While I appreciate the response, it did not feel proportionate to the issues experienced during the stay or the rate paid.
Overall, the stay did not reflect the standard expected for the brand or the price charged. I hope management reviews these operational and communication issues to improve the guest experience going forward.

We arrived on 5/9 around 4:30 to find that the room was not ready and we were not the only ones. The lobby, bar area, etc. were full of individuals waiting for their room to be ready. We waiting approximately one hour before a worker yelled out we have king rooms ready and who reserved a king room. There was zero organization as to who was next for a room or even checking people in and letting them know they would be contacted when it was ready. After we did get a room, we found that it was already occupied by someone else. We headed back down to the lobby to find we were not the only ones to have that happen. To say that this was by far the worst check-in I have ever seen would be an understatement. Most of us were there for the Morgan Wallen concert and needed a room to get ready. Some were asking to cancel and they were told no since it was after 3 and they only had to have them in a room before 1am the next day. This was extremely poor customer service to say the least. Knowing you were going to have 2 nights of a huge artist in town and not being able to handle this was poor planning.

We love IHG hotels and typically always book when traveling. My husband and I were in town for a large concert in Indy last night. We booked the room months ago. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an absolute dumpster fire of customer service. There were no rooms available. The front desk staff kept saying “we don’t know when they will be ready.” Mind you, check in was hours earlier and this answer was absolutely unacceptable. With 1 hour until the concert set to begin, the entire lobby was filled with upset customers. People getting ready in the hotel lobby, and in lobby bathrooms. The gentleman at the front desk was the icing on the cake - as he let everyone know complaining would simply get their room cancelled. We did finally get our room, but the experience was very disappointing. For $500 for the night we got a check in that wasn’t on time, rude staff, and a stressful afternoon for what should’ve been easy. I’d say it wasn’t worth what we paid - but judging by the hotel staff, they likely don’t care.

I really loved the room. Staff was friendly. Prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for. I only stayed 1 night for work. My only single complaint is that there was not a single drop of body wash left in the bottle that they keep locked down in the shower. I would think that housekeeping should probably be checking those soap bottles after each guest leaves... somewhere there was a fail. I ended up just using the shampoo as body wash so not really a huge deal for me but other guests might be bothered more.

Rooms were clean check in was easy the manager Isiah is the best love him down. He made last minute accommodations to make my stay more then enjoyable. Breakfast was top tier. Housekeepers were amazing and so sweet. Would recommend and stay again 12/10 for the stay! Loved everything about this place!
