  We have stayed at this hotel for years and never had a problem until now. We reserved a “accessible” room, which it was NOT! Our “accessible” room was on the 5th floor and after we got there the fire alarm went off from someone smoking in their room and we had to WALK ALL THE WAY DOWNSTAIRS FROM THE 5th FLOOR!! Our bathtub had stains in it. The water came out yellow when we first ran it and the shower chair DID NOT EVEN FIT!!! No vending machines and no ice machine!! This will be our last stay at this hotel!!!

  Awful service. Dirty bathrooms. Dont choose this hotel if your family and guests are coming from out of town for a wedding. The people working here don't want you there.

  Un hotel amplio, espacioso, ideal para descansar. El “servicio” es casi inexistente. En el desayuno se habían quedado sin comida, no había cubiertos y al pedirle a la chica que atendía me respondió “No hay más” mientras retiraba platos con cubiertos de otras mesas. Al menos eso se solucionaba lavando esos mismos que llevaba a la cocina. El servicio de limpieza faltó. El bar un domingo estaba cerrado. Como cereza d esa torta el último día no había café ya que según nos dijeron se les había terminado. En fin, si no quieren ir a la quiebra van a tener que rever muchos aspectos.

  "Never rent this hotel's ballroom unless you want to lose your money." I recently held my wedding reception at this hotel. It was the worst experience of my life. They didn't honor the original contract. The bartender didn't show up. The police were called over a minor issue involving alcohol—caused by the fact that they hadn't secured a bartender in time and my guests weren't aware of the situation due to their mistake. There was a leak in the ceiling that soaked the entire carpet. The dishwashing sink had no drainage, causing water to spill all over the floor. The managers are the absolute worst; they have no hotel experience. The room I stayed in smelled awful. My wedding—supposed to be the best day of my life—turned into a nightmare. Don't waste your money on this place; it is the worst of the worst.

  I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at the Holiday Inn Purdue was bad enough that I feel other guests should know about it. From the moment we arrived, there were problems. Our room had an extremely strong musty/damp smell and honestly smelled terrible. On top of that, the lights in the room were not working properly, so I had to call maintenance. I specifically mentioned the horrible smell as well, and the only “solution” provided was someone bringing a spray to the room. Spraying something over a strong moisture/mildew odor is not an acceptable solution. Even more frustrating, PRIOR to our arrival, I contacted the hotel regarding a crib for my two-month-old baby. I communicated directly with administration and was told they would take care of it. They did not. When you are traveling with a two-month-old infant, something like this is not a minor inconvenience—especially when the hotel confirmed beforehand that it would be handled. We stayed at this hotel to attend our friends’ Morales-Chavarría wedding, which should have been a beautiful and memorable occasion. Unfortunately, the way the event and guests were treated by hotel management was extremely disappointing. One of the most unbelievable moments was when police were called over an allegation involving alcohol. The bottles in question were NON-ALCOHOLIC wine. Having police show up and approach the newlyweds’ table during their wedding celebration was embarrassing, unnecessary, and completely disrupted what was supposed to be a very special day. There were also multiple issues involving things that, from what we understood, had already been agreed upon with the bride and groom but were not respected or properly handled, including ice refills, beverages, and overall service. The level of attention and hospitality throughout the event was simply unacceptable. I understand that problems can happen at any hotel. What makes the difference is how management responds to those problems. In our experience, the response and treatment we received only made an already disappointing situation worse. I do not normally take the time to write reviews like this, but this property seriously needs to reevaluate its management, staff training, communication, and overall approach to customer service. Between the condition of the room, the failure to provide something that had been requested and confirmed for our infant, and the way the Morales-Chavarría wedding was handled, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.
