I am extremely disappointed with how management handled a simple billing error during our Mother's Day weekend trip to Fort Wayne. Due to a geographic mix-up, I accidentally double-booked and ended up staying at a different Best Western property in Fort Wayne for my May 8-10 trip. I believed I had cancelled this hotel through Expedia well in advance of my trip. At 5:32AM on May 10th, I contacted this hotel's front desk immediately upon noticing the issue. I had not received a call from this location. The staff was initially helpful, confirming they would cancel the reservation and have the manager call me to process the refund. The young lady I spoke to told me she was able to cancel and their manager would reach out to me to confirm the details of the cancellation. Because I booked via Expedia, Expedia even sent the hotel a formal waiver. Despite the hotel having this waiver, being the merchant of record (they charged my card directly), and having the full ability to reverse the transaction, the manager completely ghosted me. They never provided the promised call-back and ignored the waiver. It is incredibly bad business to pocket the money for an unused, formally cancelled room when an honest mistake was made—especially when they had the green light from the booking platform to make it right. For reference, and to further demonstrate this location's predatory policies, the i-69 location has a more reasonable policy of charging only for the first night in these situations. Read other reviews for further evidence. If you are looking for a hotel with accountable management or decent customer service, look elsewhere. Edit: I appreciate the prompt written response within 5 minutes of of my review. This is more courtesy than was extended to me when I called two days ago. Unfortunately, with regard to the metaphor, no meal was had. I was across town and never stepped foot in their business. Services were never rendered. The Best Western kept the food and my money.

I was very disappointed in my stay. We mainly came to be able to enjoy the pool and go swimming since it’s still chilly outside. We were not informed that the pool was closed upon check in. We came downstairs to go swimming and were informed that the pool was closed due to chemical issues. This is the second time that we’ve come to the hotel and the pool has been closed. Last time something was wrong with the pump. We were also disappointed that there were no working ice machines. We came down for breakfast at 8:15 and it was all mostly empty, and the attendant didn’t seem to have any plan to refill anything. There was no eggs, biscuits for the gravy, no milk for cereal, extc. This is the worst western I’ve ever been to.

This hotel was gross, but unfortunately, it was the only one available while we were in town. During our 2 night stay, I killed 4 ants, noticed a huge pink stain on the carpet, and a dirty napkin behind the chair in our room. Housekeeping also walked in on me while I was in my underwear. Granted, I didn’t have the privacy please sign displayed, but generally, housekeeping knocks before coming in, not while they are coming in. The bed was comfortable, though. If I’m ever in town again, I’ll be sure to book further in advance so I have more options as to where to stay. **Edit** I believe our reservation was under Warren-Crouch. We were just there Thursday and Friday night in room 222.

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.... And still is. Your manager told me to leave, forcing me to pack up with two kids and a dog and scramble to find another hotel, which cost me nearly $300 out of pocket. Then, after making us leave, you charged my card twice without authorization. On top of that, you falsely told the booking service that I left without checking out or notifying the front desk — which is a lie. Your manager even threatened to call the police, yet staff still gave me checkout paperwork when I left, proving I did not just “walk out.” I have proof of the unauthorized charges and was given documentation from checkout. After reading a few reviews of your hotel...yip, I see I'm not alone.

Do not stay here. Hotel is old and dated. Has a bad smell and Hotel will blame you for it and charge you for the damage. I spoke with the front desk staff when I went to get extra bedding. Trying not to be a problem because the hotel was booked with a huge group from traveling soccer I told her we would deal with the smell. How come Housekeeping on Saturday didn't report anything? She came into the room and spoke with me and my son. The smell you are claiming could ot have been made in one day. The carpet smelled like nasty feet and when the air conditioner was turned on it made it worse. I had to spray my perfume around the room to help mask the smell. The tub was only used by my son so if it needed a deep clean that was build up from before my stay. Your business is scamming people out of money. There was no phone call or any kind of communication that there was an issue you just charged my cards days after I checked out. You could not have possibly updated your rooms as the wood trim and doors are all stained yellow like years of smoke damage. The main room door doesn't even close properly.
