The Elkhart Environmental Center is an environmental learning center situated on 66 acres of trails, wetlands, prairies and woods. The public is welcome to come and utilize this site at no cost. Our trails are open from dusk till dawn, though our cabin and gate is only open 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Throughout the year, the EEC also holds a variety of programs and events that promote sustainability.
The EEC regularly partners with organizations to provide service learning opportunities and place based educational experiences. We encourage you to come explore the site and to stop in at the cabin to get a history of the place. Kids will be interested in our small children's learning loft in the cabin. We look forward to seeing you!
