My brother and I stayed here this past weekend for the Notre Dame game and from the outside looking in, it seemed like a nice hotel. When we first arrived, we walked up to the front desk and no one was there initially. No big deal but we were assigned room 131, the room on the southeast corner of the hotel. This hotel room was, by far, the worst hotel room in the entire hotel in terms of location. This room is located right next to the side entrance and every time the door closes from people going in and out, it felt like you were in the hallway. I can sleep through a lot of noise so it wasn't the end of the world. But it gets worse. The shower floor was not clean at all. When we arrived back to the hotel late Saturday night, I found three worms in the corner of the room by the window. I had zero energy at that point to walk up to the front desk and tell them since we had probably walked 8-10 miles on campus throughout the day and were gone from the hotel for 12 hours. If the breakfast was any good, I would have given it two stars but even the breakfast was just average. I'll never stay at an Avid again. Bottom line: Whatever you do, don't accept room 131!
