  The property is old, the hotel staff is absolutely not helpful in any sense. The common washroom on the down floor does not have door also. Poor Breakfast. Doesn't look like holiday Inn at all Please change the staff to make it the stay pleasant

  We booked this hotel as a stop on our long road trip. We specifically drove out of the way to stay in Carmel being a nicer suburb of Indy. This hotel is disgusting. There was black and red mold in the shower. The shelf in the shower was knocked off the wall. There was no bedding for the pullout so we had to go down to request anything. We were given two sheets and a blanket. No pillows. I wouldn't let the kids take off their crocs in the room. Everything was disgusting and I would rather camp outside than set foot into this hotel room every again. Do not take these comments for granted. Save yourself the nightmare - DO NOT STAY HERE.

  Disgusting room. I left. I would have checked out immediately, but I left because the two people at the front desk appeared to be arguing and I felt a visceral need to leave immediately. I cancelled the reservation via customer relations. They charged me anyway. I called customer relations again. Hotel lied and said I stayed on site. (Despite my staying at the next IHG property over in town, with clear charges showing where I was actually staying.) Another call to the site and customer relations later, and apparently fixing the charge requires manager approval. It is unclear if or when a manager will be available to fix their error. The worst IHG experience that I have had, by a country mile. ### Edit to respond to hotel response: Property management has been evasive and nonresponsive from my telephone calls and IHG's customer relations team. ### Second edit: spoke with Ronald, a traveling manager with IHG. His attitude and belittling nature -- not to mention confrontational approach and yelling at a customer trying to stay loyal to the IHG brand -- is disappointing. Apparently the issue is not just with the hotel, it's the larger brand. ### Third edit: Spoke with an Amy, who is apparently an incoming manager at the location. After enduring a couple of her insults, she offered to refund the entire amount of the stay in exchange for me *never* coming back to the property. I tried to hold my laugh in at her request and heatily agreed to never return to the room with unknown goo on the walls. I'll do better next time. Anyway, if you've had problems, expect it to take a dozen calls to get to resolution. HUACA works.

  My parents came to visit and they booked this hotel. The rooms are suffering from years of neglect. The room door wouldn’t shut (and it had a huge gash taken out of it that was patched messily), the shower was lined with pink algae, the toilet flusher handle was ready to fall out of its socket. When I went to set the room up for my family, I did some basic cleaning since the room looked a little dirty. The counter in the bathroom turned my cleaning wipe brown and so did the counter where the microwave was. My parents were dissatisfied with the breakfast—they only had milk (no juice), and the table wobbled and the staff tried to use napkins on the floor to fix it. I do, however, give this room a service of 4 stars since the man was helpful at the front desk when I checked in, and helpful to my parents when they checked out. He gave them a partial refund for their dissatisfaction. I also gave this room location 5 stars since it is in a good area and conveniently located near Walmart. Other than that, never stay here. Tell the landlord what they need to do by withholding your money until they can get this place cleaned up.
