  I would NOT recommend you stay here. Even though the location is good, the hotel is very dirty and very run down. The elevator was so dirty our shoes stuck to the floor for all 3 days of our stay. The room had water damage and falling wall paper, the bathroom and carpets were dirty and the carpets in common areas were filthy and stained. The air conditioner for the hallway had deteriorating support. It was a downright awful place to stay. There are posters in the elevator saying excuse our mess as we renovate but there is absolutely nothing being done to update or improve this property. What a disappointment from a Holiday Inn.

  We have stayed at this property a dozen times over the past 10!years. Unfortunately This hotel is in bad shape and in need of a full renovation. (There are posters up in all the elevators that there is a planned renovation). The hotels has a musty/midew smell throughout and Everything feels and looks dirty. The rooms are very dated and wallpaper is peeling off the walls. We were very disappointed and disturbed by the lack of cleanliness and were shocked by the price point. The "value" is just not there and we pilot it online with a dirty hotel 6. As always, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Always appreciate the Location as is good for visiting IU/Bloomington and Football games but the value for the money is not there considering poor and dirty the hotel is currently. I would not come back at a $200+ price point.

  We stayed at the Holiday Inn Bloomington this past weekend for IU Parents Weekend, and the condition of this hotel was completely unacceptable. Our room was disgusting. There were visible stains on the carpet, sheets, and comforter. The bathroom smelled strongly of mildew and urine. Based on the condition when we arrived, it was difficult to believe the room or bathroom had been properly cleaned before our stay. It wasn't just our room. The entire hotel was dark, dirty, and poorly maintained. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke, and the overall cleanliness was terrible. Regardless of the nightly rate, these are unacceptable conditions for any hotel guest. Clean bedding, a sanitary bathroom, and a properly cleaned room are basic expectations. The fact that we were charged more than $700 per night for Parents Weekend made the experience even more outrageous. Premium rates for a hotel in this condition are simply unjustifiable. We are requesting that Holiday Inn/IHG contact us directly and provide an appropriate refund or meaningful compensation for this stay. We would absolutely not stay here again.

  Absolutely filthy. Carpets are stained and torn. Sink was dripping all night long. The manager Claims that they are aware of everything and they are renovating the place. That is no excuse. This place should be shut down.

  This hotel is in really bad shape and in need of a full renovation. Everything feels and looks dirty. The rooms are very dated. We had to ask to change rooms when we first got there because the first room that we were in had a leak in the bathroom and the carpets were wet. Second room was better but the same dated and poorly maintained look and feel was there. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is good for visiting IU/Bloomington but the value for the money is not there considering how dingy the hotel feels.
