It's okay. Comfortable place to stay. Breakfast is good. My only pet peeve about this hotel is why they don't clean the room daily. This is the 2nd time I stayed at this hotel and it is the same. They don't clean the rooms daily. The only time they should not clean the room is if I put up the do not disturb sign. Other than that they should clean the room daily and provide fresh towels. I had to ask to get my room cleaned. What's up with that? Other than that. It's a Comfortable place to stay.
Overall, this is a nice and well-maintained hotel with clean rooms and a good atmosphere. The only issue we faced was with room service. Despite requesting towels and toiletries twice, once at night and once again in the morning, no one came to assist us.
Horrible and beyond rude customer service!!!!
My wife booked my reservation for this evening through Expedia on her phone app. When confirming who was planning to stay, she checked my name as the occupant but it automatically defaulted to her name for the booking. When I arrived at the hotel I tried giving the confirmation/itinerary info but was immediately snapped at by William the front desk receptionist stating that the reservation was not in my name and under no circumstances would he allow me to check in. I asked him if we could call my wife so she could explain what had happened and confirm the reservation details. He continued to be so angry like I was scamming him in some way instead of coming up with a solution. I called my wife anyway to explain what was happening and she offered to both talk to him to explain the mistake on Expedia’s website and also offered to send a screenshot of her license with the matching address, and credit card number. The receptionist William completely refused and said I had to leave the property or he was calling the police. What kind of customer service agent behaves this way over a system glitch that can be straightened out and rectified very easily?? No offer on his part to try and find a solution whatsoever. Just angrily asking me to leave the premises like I did something wrong.
Even more frustrating, the room was prepaid for on my credit card and he wouldn’t even look at my paperwork to match it with the card. He stormed away from the front desk area and locked himself in an office like an immature little baby who shouldn’t work with the public.
Needless to say, this story doesn’t end here. I’ll post on every social media site, I already contacted Expedia and they were appalled to hear what happened to me and are issuing an immediate refund but in addition are contacting corporate for Choice Hotels and filing a complaint on my behalf.
Bottom line…….this hotel has ridiculously bad customer service!!!! Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
Stayed two nights here and it was terrific, clean rooms and a nice breakfast. Khushi at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate me! Would highly recommend.

DO NOT BOOK A BLOCK FOR YOUR WEDDING.
My sister reserved a block for her wedding April 2026. When reserving, we confirmed we had the shuttle, as it was included FOR FREE with the block. When we checked in on Friday 4/3, the front desk staff confirmed our shuttle times for the next day. On Saturday 4/4, the day of the wedding, our guests were being told we did not have a shuttle for our wedding. The groom tried to deal with the situation only to be told there was no shuttle for us. When he asked what he should do or who to contact, the front desk offered zero help or suggestions. This led to the bridal party calling around to Elgin-area transportation companies at noon on the wedding day trying to get shuttle service for the guests that was promised. We managed to do this, but it cost $1,000 that was not planned for. This was completely unacceptable. The fact that they completely screwed us over on the DAY OF THE WEDDING and then offered no help or solution or anything was absolutely ridiculous. If I were getting married, I would NEVER book with Best Western. You may end up in our shoes and forced to find shuttle service 3 hours before the wedding.
