    I'm giving this hotel 2 stars because the room was spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was typical, nothing special. Service was terrible. Front desk seemed annoyed we were checking in. I had requested a room close to the elevator due to mobility issues and two extra pillows when I reserved the room weeks ago. When I asked about those things at check in the lady simply said, "I don't know"and made no effort to find out. Our room was literally the last room down a long corridor next to the stairwell. I called the front desk repeatedly for the extra pillows with no answer. I'm glad the room wasn't on fire or the toilet overflowing. In desperation I called the hotel from my cell phone and finally got an answer. We won't be coming back. We expect more from a Holiday Inn.

    Here for the state fair so location is a little far but after staying at a number of hotels in Springfield, decided this was the best fit for us. Great breakfast buffet, nice rooms, plenty of parking, friendly staff. See you next year.

    Came out here for the Springfield state fair, very easy to check in, rooms are clean and in perfect condition when entering. Has everything you need, even if you forget certain items, it is close to a county market located about 2-3 minutes away.

    The young lady at desk seemed to be asleep when we arrived. This isn’t really important but since I’m reviewing. We were not greeted or thanked for our membership status. The tv didn’t work in our room. We tried multiple times to call front desk. It rang a bit and no one answered. Found out in morning what to do. Could have had tv if she had answered. We had low water pressure on shower. Didn’t think The shampoo would ever wash out. In addition the water was just warm. When we were leaving the front desk Alisha had the “ who cares” attitude. Not a place that should have the holiday inn name
