  BED BUGS! I stayed here for one night in September and had a very negative experience. The carpets were old and stained and the furniture was stiff and scratchy. There were a couple bugs on the bathroom floor. I figured I could live with it for one night and I did. However, the next day, I had a dozen itchy red bumps on my collarbone. I’m a school nurse and I knew right always by the bite pattern and appearance they were indeed BED BUGS. I didn’t sleep under the covers, just my neck and head were on the pillow. I can home to wash my blanket and there were three dead bugs in the blanket. I contacted the manager and gave them a chance to respond to my experience and they did not, so here you go then. I can’t believe I paid $164/night. I know it’s Chicago prices but I switched to the Hyatt House up the road and it seemed like the Ritz compared to this for only $20 more a night Overall, just don’t stay here. The location is fine but the inside of the hotel is sketchy with people begging for rooms to stay in and questionable visitors in the lobby which consistently smelled like weed. This is a truck stop hotel labeled as a Holiday Inn

  This hotel would be so nice if owners gave a little TLC. Lights don’t work, and the beds are better at Motel 6. Seriously, Holiday Inn usually has great beds but this place, changed rooms and tried 3 rooms and beds all the same…busted down and woke up several times hurting both nights. I am so tired after 2 night stay. The staff was amazing though. They tried their best. Polite, accommodating and very clean. Breakfast was good. But the beds….you desperately need new mattresses. A good nights sleep is crucial. I like people and location and everything about this place but lack of sleep says I won’t be back. Too bad, it could really be nice.

  Stay away from here! No matter the discount. We left and booked a room at the holiday inn down the road in Carol Steam and it was great! When we arrived and were given a family suite for two people, I thought something was off. The pool was broke and had been for some time. Stains were all over the floor and walls when we entered the room. Then we pulled back the sheets and the mattress has a blood stain. They had told us new mgmt took over a few months ago but clearly there are no standards.

  Huge shoutout to the staff at Holiday Inn! They went above and to adjust to our arrangements seamlessly. Extremely Friendly, and very efficient. Thanks again Sam and to the rest of the Holiday Inn staff!

  We have lived in many holiday inns so booked this with high expectations but this is not your usual holiday inns. The building and rooms are rundown and not very clean. Pool and hot tub are closed for maintenance. Gym was open but all the equipments were out of order. We would have preferred a room on higher floors but were given room on the ground floor with the view of a garbage bin outside. The breakfast was fairly good and the only good thing about this hotel. For a family of 5 we only had 2 towels provided. The next day we were not even given hand towels. Not worth the money I paid for this hotel.
