  Both elevators are currently out of date as it stands today for their Illinois State fire Marshalsafety inspection. Mind you both elevators have rips on the expiration dates conveniently. On two different occasions the elevators made uncomfortable grinding sounds that stood out from the other times we took them. The pool was hotter than the hot tub on both nights we stayed. They put up a sign saying the hot tub was down the first night, when we asked in the morning if it was working, the dayshift had no idea it was down. The "free" breakfast is just a 20$ credit at their In house restaurant, which isn't how they advertise it. The only thing they have going for them is that the rooms are very comfortable. The beds are amazing and the rooms are very clean. That's about their only redeeming quality.

  We reserved a room for our nephews wedding. We were charged double what everyone else was. When trying to resolve the issue we were told they could not adjust the price. When trying to cancel the room we were told it was a third party booking even though we called the number on the website and we couldn’t cancel the room without the location approving it. This was 5 days in advance!!! Three phone calls with no resolution. They’ve cancelled our room and said we will be charged!

  The hotel itself was wonderful! The front desk employees were professional, friendly, and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect. Close to the main road, but in a quiet area. It provides easy access to both the interstate and main road through town. The room was clean and comfortable. The only reason for the 4 star review is the attached restaurant. We ate there on a Sunday afternoon, with only 1 other customer in the restaurant. A member of our party has diet restrictions, including gluten-free. We had previously spoken to someone about their ability to provide accommodations for the diet restrictions and were told it wouldn't be a problem. The waitress that Sunday was rude about it and told us (after speaking with the cook) that they normally wouldn't make these accommodations, but since they weren't busy they would do it that time.
