  One of the worst hotels to stay at customer service is a joke front dest attendant was on is phone the rooms were dirty bathroom shower curtain rod barely attached to wall ac unit cover broken. Other family members experienced different and similar inconveniences we were there for a family reunion I guess they blocked out the worst rooms available. This was my family's first time visiting Chicago

  This hotel needs renovation/updating. The bar is busy on the weekends- the parking lot is crowded and dirty. Nice staff though 👍

  Lots of parking space with friendly staff. Price could be a little more affordable considering there's more luxury options close by.

  This hotel sucks. It is not very clean. The hotel is kind of dirty in general with very poor painting and drywall repairs around the whole building. The elevator that generally takes me to my room on the fifth floor has had a very dirty muddy looking floor, which I don’t even understand where mud or black dirt would come from around here since I got here. The hotel bar/restaurant sucks service is terrible and it’s very expensive and they add an automatic 18% gratuity. Parking is also really bad here. The toilet in the bathroom is about 30 to 40 years old and the countertop extends almost over the toilet so it’s a very uncomfortable bathroom place just sucks.

  I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had at the Holiday Inn Chicago Oakbrook Terrace. The property is old, outdated, and in desperate need of renovations. When I checked in, I was placed in a handicap-accessible room that was clearly not ready for guests. The blinds were broken, and there were dirty towels left on the chairs. When I asked the front desk for a different room, I was initially told there were no other rooms available. I insisted that the employee come inspect the room himself, and after seeing the condition of it, he suddenly found another room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn’t any better. The toilet was completely clogged with toilet paper before I even used it. When I flushed it, the bathroom flooded. I was then moved to a third room. While it was at least clean, it was much smaller and located directly next to the elevator. Kids were running up and down the hallway late into the night, making it nearly impossible to get any sleep. Having to move three times during one stay is completely unacceptable. Between the lack of cleanliness, poor room maintenance, and excessive noise, this was an incredibly frustrating experience. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a clean, comfortable, or well-maintained place to stay.
