  I stayed here for over a week during a recent business trip, and it truly felt like a home away from home. I was initially a bit skeptical after reading some early reviews of this being a new hotel, but please pay no attention to them. Any minor issues were clearly just normal startup teething pains. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and sincere smiles. Roberto and Sandi consistently went above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect stay, from check-in all the way through to check-out. The entire staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The hotel itself feels cozy, safe, and is in a fantastic location. Having a Target right across the street was incredibly convenient for quick grocery runs, and there are plenty of great dining options within a 1-to-5-minute walk. If you're driving, the adjacent parking garage offers direct, hassle-free access to the hotel. They also handled my Amazon deliveries flawlessly. Thank you, Roberto, Sandi, and the entire team for such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this property!

  I am an IHG Diamond member and travel every 2 weeks. The service at this hotel has been the best I ever seen at an IHG hotel. I was checked in by Christine and she was super friendly. I got to hotel 9am on a Friday expecting to wait until 3pm to get checked in. But she was able to get me to my room right away with no hesitation. Also, Roberto was so nice letting me check out 1pm on Monday. He offered me waters and gave me nice compliments as well. Even the girl handling the breakfast was nice getting me more milk when I asked. But besides the service the hotel is great if you going to Soldier Field and is close to a Whole Foods and Target in the area. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Chicago.

  Had to book a room for my mom who was having some emergency work done at her place. She is elderly and struggles with technology. In order to make sure that she had a smooth experience I called in to add her name to my reservation and to make sure everything was ready for her. Spoke with the manager Roberto, very friendly person. He was extremely helpful when getting everything set up for my mom so she could check in without a hitch. I have not seen the hotel personally but customer service is top notch.

  I stayed here at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Chicago West-Oak Park and I really enjoyed my stay. When I first arrived to check in, I was warmly greeted by Roberto Mandera at the front desk. When I come for business, I typically stay in downtown or uptown but I needed to be in Oak Park this time. I was a little weary because of some reviews I've seen for this location but it's very close by the Green Line so I went for it. Roberto made such a great 1st impression and it really reassured me that this is a good spot, and I'll be fine. My room was very clean and it had a fridge and microwave. There's a Target across the street so you can easily buy microwave meals if you want to stay within a budget. There is also a restaurant next door called Nando's peri-peri, and they give you a 15% discount if you are staying at this Holiday Inn. This location also has a free breakfast bar as well. All in all, I had a pretty good experience and if I need to conduct business in Oak Park again, this will be my go-to hotel. The only thing I would advise of is being careful at night, because that is typically when questionable characters and beggars, sit outside by the light for Harlem Ave. They aren't out during the day though, luckily.

  I stayed here for two nights on a work trip and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. After my first night, I found a pair of used men’s boxers in my room, along with loose candy gummies under the lounge chair. The room otherwise appeared clean, which honestly made it worse as it clearly wasn’t thoroughly checked. I brought this to the front desk’s attention calmly and politely. I even said I didn’t need to switch rooms since I was only there one more night, I just asked for housekeeping to come immediately and properly clean the space. The staff apologized and offered to comp part of my second night (around $50), noting that it had been added to my account. At checkout, however, there was no record of this. The manager who originally handled the situation wasn’t available, and I was told they would follow up. I had to leave for the airport, but the final bill came through with no adjustment. I reached out afterward and have received no response. At the end of the day, this is less about the money and more about the principle. Finding someone else’s (dirty) clothing in your room is unacceptable, and failing to follow through on a promised resolution is even more frustrating. Based on both the cleanliness issue and the lack of accountability, I would not stay here again.
