Nauvoo was an important city in the early history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Visitors to Historic Nauvoo can discover the city where Joseph Smith received important revelations, apostles left on missions, tradespeople supported the economy, and the Relief Society cared for those in need.
Went to browning twice. I wish the volunteers knew more details. Loved holiness to the lord. Our preservation! The lord has said, you shall defend your families even unto blood shed.

Incredible free American historic site, showing life in the 1840s along the Mississippi, from log cabin making to gun making (Browning), from blacksmithing to rug making to rope making. Whether you are an American interested in history or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, this place presented in a five star way is a life experience worth having. I recommend setting aside at least one day 9am to 5pm. Start with the wagon rides, get a map, and go from there.

The volunteer missionaries here are so friendly and knowledgeable. Nauvoo has so much history and the work that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has done is truly great in saving that history. Highly recommend
