    I love the rooms and breakfast. I visit Mattoon once a year for a couple days. My only complaint is 3 out of the last 4 visits I’ve made the pool/hot tub has been broken down. That’s unreasonable. I live in Tennessee now and wouldn’t fly in Franklin or Murfreesboro. I can only assume it wasn’t installed correctly and/or isn’t being fixed correctly. The staff is always kind and have a nice workout area.

    Hotel has all the facilities you need if they were working Pool hot tub were closed. I slept well. The hotel just needs updating.

    Location was great. We needed to be close to EIU for an early morning appointment. The front desk attendant couldn’t get in the system because he changed his password and couldn’t remember it. He had to mess with it for a while to get access - his body oder was SO bad we couldn’t event stand at the desk while we waited. We walked over and had a seat on the very stained couch. Once finally into our rooms, it stunk. It was kind of a musty smell. The carpet in the room had giant stains all over (as did the hall going to the room). There was splatters of stuff on multiple walls inside the room. The bathroom floor was repulsive. If you zoom in not only can you get a good look at the dirt and mounds of hair, but you can see a finger/toe nail. Gross. One bed had a damp pillow that my daughter unfortunately touched with her face before realizing it. In the morning we couldn’t get a receipt at checkout because their system was down. Our daughter will be starting EIU in the fall. If we ever come up to visit - we will NOT be staying here.

    I've never stayed at holiday that was this nasty. Holiday inn. Needs to get this hotel out of their franchise. Black mold in shower, window sill falling apart. I love holiday beds! But for 195 dollars. We got this? I'm 54 years old this was a real let down.
