  I never leave reviews, but we were in town for a softball tournament and we didn’t have much of a choice about where we stayed. As an IHG member I guess I’m spoiled because I’ve never experienced such a thing like this. Upon arriving the lady at the desk was nice, but walking to our room we noticed bugs (not the gross kind, but outside bugs and spiders) all along the floors against the walls. I tried not to think much of it but when we got to our door, which was close to the back exit, we had an exceptional amount of bugs around our door and some live spiders in the door frame. Someone had to have heard me say something because the next day it was all cleaned up (this was not something that happened overnight, they were old dead bugs). When we opened our door we were met with a very musty smell (see photos of black mold on the bathroom ceiling) and a stain in the carpet (also in the photos) that I made sure to point out to the front desk because I had to use my card for incidentals. The A/C was set on like 73 so I immediately turned it down to 68 to cool it off. Unfortunately, the A/C never did get it much cooler in there the whole weekend. There were cob webs and spiders on the ceiling too so I didn’t feel 100% comfortable the whole weekend because spiders just aren’t my thing. When it came to sleeping the beds were actually pretty comfortable but the pillows were like feather pillows so there wasn’t much support there. That’s just a preference thing, but it definitely would have been nice if they would have had two more firm and two softer like most places we stay. The breakfast was average but I felt uneasy about eating there because of the cleanliness of our room. I felt like maybe that was a good indication of what the kitchen looked like. Overall, I hated not feeling comfortable to even walk around in my socks. I just expected better for almost $350. That’s a lot of money. I just felt like the give a crap wasn’t there for this place. I don’t recommend, but if you’re in a pinch like we were then it’ll do.

  Staff were friendly. Checking was efficient quick. Breakfast attendant was helpful, friendly, and efficient. He kept food well stocked and tables and floors clean. Rooms were clean. The dresser was slightly tilted forward and the drawers opened I think it was a floor issue. Sadly, my children’s biggest disappointment was that the pool was closed for ‘maintenance.’ The windows looking into the pool were all covered. Also, peaking through a crack, it looked like an outside window was shattered but still standing. I thought I read another person reporting that the pool was out of commission many months ago. If you want a pool, you better call to see if it is operational.

  Stephanie here at the front desk counter is amazing. My wife and I moved from Colorado and we had to stay two nights to wait for closing paperwork and backend things and she was so professional and courteous to our every single need. She excels in customer service and definitely needs to be considered for management roles. Thank you again for your absolute outstanding consideration and customer appreciation.

  If you call for reservation, they will tell you what the price will be with all charges an taxes,then you stay an then you check out then when you get your bill,it's higher they,very done it twice to me,will not stay at best western,I make phone call to let them know an they want me to send there information of the bill to them,so it can be investigated.Bad company to deal with,have nobody give you straight honest price.

  Not sure what some of the negative reviews were about because my experience was honestly great. The hotel is old but I got lucky, my room looked recently renovated, everything felt clean and new, and I slept really well during my stay. The hallways could get a little loud at times from other guests, and the breakfast is pretty standard/basic hotel food, I didn’t eat it. What really stood out to me was the staff. Both ladies working at the front desk were incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Everything in the area was booked, and they went out of their way to help me secure one of the last available rooms and made the process so much easier and less stressful. Their customer service and kindness truly made the experience even better. I really appreciate how accommodating they were and would definitely stay here again.
