  Rooms are clean, the hotel looks old and outdated. Needs some esthetic upgrades.

  Ants in the room, a foul smelling hallway, a broken elevator and a sub par clean room is what my family and I dealt with when we stayed at this hotel. Is this what we should expect from Best Western? We should not have to wonder if where we are paying to stay will be clean and fully functioning. We were looking forward to our visit but were appalled at the severely outdated room, having to share our room with ants and the general state of the hotel. The staff were pleasant, which is always appreciated. We will seek other accommodations from now on.

  Located minutes from downtown, river walk & convention center. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and breakfast was great.

  NO ELEVATORS. They want to say that their elevators are just broken - but the control panels are completely ripped out with wires hanging. Yes they will offer to let you cancel for free - but, especially in my case, I was with my robotics team and we had probably 8 rooms booked. Where am I going to get 8 rooms in the same hotel on the same weekend everything in town is booked and do it at a reasonable rate. So they "accommodated" us by giving us 1 room on the first floor. We needed multiple rooms on the first floor (for handicapped team members, elderly, etc). No such luck. The entire team (including the kid on crutches) had to lug everything up to the 3rd and 4th floors. Half of the rooms smelly musky - almost like mildew. The walls are damaged here and there - some of the wall paper is torn and the carpet is rather worn. The Staff is super friendly and they are doing everything they can to handle the guest issues. However there is only so much they can do. My advice - book anywhere else in the town. This is NOT worth the money you save. The stay in this hotel was NOT a good one and my knees will be paying the price for the rest of the week. Please save your money and knees and go elsewhere. Jeff Update : The management says "Sorry hope to serve you better next time". That is pathetic. There won't be a next time. The management is NOT willing to do anything to try to make it right. They just hope I forget how horrible it was and will accidently book again. AVOID THIS AT ALL COSTS. It would be better to sleep in my car than this dump. Their "gee we're sorry" response is even more insulting than the original offense.
