  My business trip brought me to this hotel after sixteen hours of working and driving, and I was deeply impressed by the experience. The hotel is very clean and nice, but the front desk lady truly stood out. She had to deal with an incredibly cruel and frustrating family right before me, yet she never lost her patience. She stayed perfectly calm and handled the situation with total professionalism, then turned around and took great care of my check-in. The room was extremely comforting and quiet. Despite being on the roadside, it was so well insulated that I did not hear any traffic noise and slept peacefully. The desk was also perfect for getting my business work done. I would absolutely stay here again.

  Vanessa was an absolute angel when I checked in. I had the business trip that wouldn't end and she made this part the best and most calm that I have seen in a week. They have free tea and coffee in the lobby and an excellent breakfast. I happened to oversleep by 10 minutes past and the breakfast attendant still allowed me to get a bagel and juice when she did not have to. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, has good water pressure, and Dove brand bathroom care products. This is definitely on my O'Hare layover list. PS The only downside was the lack of an aiprot shuttle, despite having 3 small branded busses parked behind the hotel. Very odd for a hotel so close to the airport. Your options for travel are to walk a few blocks to the car rental buildings and take that free shuttle, Lyft, Uber, or Taxis. Or do what I did and take the shuttle for the Holiday Inn across the street and walk over. Be sure you tip the driver. Maybe they could contract with the other hotel officially?

  I’m an IHG Platinum Member, which means I book a good number of rooms each year, and stay in a variety of properties within the brand. This is the first property I’ve felt compelled to leave a Google review. I’m glad to give 3 stars as the rooms our group booked were clean, and water pressure was ample for consistently hot showers (2 stars). Also will add (1 star) for front desk personnel being friendly and helpful when approached. But the (minus two stars) has to be reviewed. From the moment you step into the property and your room this property shouts “WE ARE CHEAP” at the top of its lungs. A/C completely off when you arrive, the smallest bath towels I’ve ever seen at an IHG property, no liner in the ice bucket, no water or coffee machine…and most annoying — for a property with AIRPORT in the name of the property, no shuttle provided for guests, despite easy proximity and 5 HIE vans and busses parked in the parking lot. It should be noted all other IHG properties in the area provide a shuttle. Least impressive breakfast I have seen at HIE as well. If you want to 3 star hotel, and NO FRILLS at all, this is your property.

  Very rude receptionist and he was the worst one I’ve ever encountered throughout my whole travel in Chicago.
