Upon checking into the hotel and parking my vehicle, the first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was covered with signs stating, “Park at your own risk” and that the hotel was not responsible for theft or damage. That immediately raised concerns. This is the hotel’s parking lot—where else are guests expected to park? Rather than posting warning signs everywhere, perhaps management should invest in better security measures to protect paying customers.
The front desk experience did nothing to improve my first impression. The employee who checked me in was unwelcoming, robotic, and appeared uninterested in providing any level of hospitality. The lobby itself was filled with worn, damaged furniture that looked cheaply purchased and poorly maintained.
The elevator area was equally concerning. The elevator doors were heavily damaged and worn, giving an overall impression of neglect. Inside, several buttons did not function properly, the interior was extremely dirty, and many surfaces were chipped and deteriorating.
Once I reached my floor, conditions only became worse. Ceiling panels had a tic-tac-toe board carved into them, and spider webs were visible throughout the hallway. As I walked toward my room, I noticed several guest room doors with significant damage, including signs of previous water intrusion and poorly repaired sections.
The room itself was unacceptable. While the bed appeared to have been made and the carpet may have received a quick vacuuming, little else seemed to have been cleaned or maintained. There was visible mold on multiple surfaces, including portions of the walls and ceiling. Spider webs were present throughout the room. Wallpaper was peeling extensively, and there were numerous stains, dirt marks, and other unidentified discolorations on the walls and ceiling.
Nearly every piece of furniture was damaged, broken, or heavily worn. None of the furniture matched, making the room feel as though it had been furnished with random secondhand items. Doors were damaged, the smoke detector was hanging loose from the wall, and there was a large smoke stain on the curtains. The ironing board was significantly damaged, which is especially frustrating for business travelers who rely on basic amenities.
Storage space was virtually nonexistent. There was little dresser or closet space, making the room unsuitable for more than one person or for any stay longer than a couple of days. There was not even a garbage can in the room.
The bathroom was equally disappointing. Mold was visible in the shower, and the shower floor appeared extremely old and poorly maintained. Counter space was almost nonexistent, with only enough room around the sink for basic toiletries. Door hardware was damaged, paint was peeling throughout the bathroom, and the floors were filthy, covered in dirt, grime, and paint splatter. There were holes in the walls and stains on both the bed and the chair provided in the room.
Everything described above was observed within approximately the first fifteen minutes of my stay.
I immediately checked out and booked a room at another hotel.
And to top it off, a hotel is meant for someone to sleep at. Well, the AC unit was broken when I turned it on and made a horrible buzzing noise while I was in the room the entire time. Not the typical ac buzz, but a horrible rattling noise that could be heard from the hallway.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The property appears poorly maintained, unclean, and neglected. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. If your employer is considering booking rooms here for business travel, I encourage them to read this review carefully before doing so.
If I could give this hotel negative stars, I would. I cannot recommend it under any circumstances.
