The staff at The Langham were the highlight of my stay. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was warm, attentive and quick to help, and that level of service is what I expect from this brand. The room itself fell short. There was black buildup in the corners of the shower, visible stains on the curtains, and the pillows were completely flat and offered no support. For a hotel at this price point, those are basic cleanliness and comfort standards that should not be missed. Great people, disappointing room. I would consider staying again if the room quality matched the service.

Had an horrible experience. Planned to stay there for my boyfriend’s birthday and was not able to. Thought room was paid for when I booked online just to be told in person it was just to hold a room. Then I was giving two different answers about how I could go about retrieving room and was misled. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was our first time in Chicago, and I honestly feel like The Langham was a big part of why we fell in love with the city. Our room was beautiful, the city view was incredible, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed the restaurant, and the breakfasts were amazing. We made such lovely memories here with our son-he absolutely loved the pool, and I loved spending time at the spa and saunas. We just enjoyed our stay there so much, thank you Langham!

It was ok. I think it started off a little sour because it was nearly impossible to get into the hotel from the car. The valet was of little help with this and there was a long taxi line that also ran into the hotels entrance. The drop off system has major issues and apparently someone more important than us came and they were rude to my husband so he decided to park in a parking garage. Check in was fine but they weren’t very welcoming. The room was overall nice, but it was dusty especially the wooden table had a thick layer of dust on it and the cabinet that held all the food was super busted up with dents and dings all over it and one of the hinges fell off. The shower was very good. But the beds are super tiny. I will not try sleeping in a double bed with a toddler again. There were no queen options only 1 king or 2 doubles. I liked the children’s floor but it was locked up and you had to go downstairs to be escorted and let in there every time which was weird. Come to think of it, we were locked out of most amenities: the children’s floor, the cinema and the 12th floor lounge. It was weird to me to be locked out of amenities especially at such a high price point. Made me feel like I was a kid. We had dinner at the restaurant one night. Our waiter was very nice. The food was good but not amazing. Some things were really ridiculous like if you look at the breakfast menu for room service the berries were $22, just for berries!? Like come on how do you justify that. Or $8 for a small cup of milk!? Why be so ridiculously obscenely unreasonable for basic things? Also the tv was very zoomed in for all of the channels and you couldn’t get a normal picture no matter what you did. I thought it was just our room tv but the one in the children’s lounge was like that too and it couldn’t be changed. The concierge was very knowledgeable and helpful for helping us figure out what to do and where to go the day that we were there. The pool was fun, but not as pretty as the pictures. So it was an ok stay. This was a very expensive 3 star experience. Not sure how they got so highly rated which is why I chose this place. If I go to Chicago again I will try somewhere else.

What stood out to me most was the same thing I loved about the Four Seasons: there is a lot of intentional thought that goes into making your stay comfortable. It's not just about having a beautiful room or impressive common areas. It's all the little things that make you feel like someone has thought through what you might need before you even have to ask. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable and exceptionally well maintained. I am a stickler for cleanliness and this place exceeds all expectations. The club lounge is amazing. It makes the entire stay easier. With kids, having a place where you can grab a quick breakfast, snack, or meal without turning every meal into an event is incredibly convenient. We used it for several quick meals with the kids, and it became one of those things that you don't fully appreciate until you have it. It's a small luxury, but it's the kind that makes a difference. You can grab something to eat, sit down for a few minutes, get a drink, and keep moving with your day. It made the hotel feel more relaxed and welcoming. The luxury never felt like it was there just to impress you. It was practical luxury things designed to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I wish I could recall his name, but the doorman is awesome. My kids remember his from stay to stay. He is so kind to them and just the little thing like giving the kids a high five as they go to and from, it goes a long way.
