Another wonderful peaceful and relaxing stay at the Chicgo Langham Hotel. The hotel itself bosts an amazing collection of art. Throughout the property you can get lost in the artwork. The staff as always, is beyond reproach. From the Bellman Stojan, who always remembers us upon arrival by name... I dont know how he does it. To the check in desk staff. Alex the manager warm kind friendly and very helpful. You will see her all over the hotel workimg hard to make sure everything is perfect. The Clubroom staff so attentive Judy, Yolonda just amazing and friendly. The entire club room staff is so welcoming. Please add this option to your stay as it is a very nice extra. The best part was the spa, pool, sauna, etc. So relaxing so clean. All in all the best stay in Chicago. This is our third stay at this property in the last 2 years we just love it. The concierge David is truely a miracle worker and got us great dinner reservations on the river. Thank you Alex, Ariel, and David for making us feel like welcomed family in your home. See you again soon.

The Langham Chicago met the hype for me. This is a beautiful double Michelin key hotel that left me very impressed with their service and attentiveness. I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with Langham Club and was happy with the staff and stay overall.
One thing I would like to note specifically that made my stay particularly special. Room Service. ON THE DOT. I request my meals be served at 7:15AM, and it is as though they are looking at an atomic clock waiting for the clock to strike my requested time. Absolute masterclass in attention. I had custom omelettes, overnight oats, and a variety of other breakfast meals with the Langham and was left happy with every meal.
The Langham sports an indoor pool which I found enjoyable, it was very private, my SO and I were in their spa with no interruptions and found it incredibly relaxing.
Location wise, the Langham sits right at the Riverwalk, making access to Happy Hour easy.
Langham Club was a great place to sit down and get some work done, with the little bites and drinks being readily available if need be.
Although a splurge, the Langham Chicago exceeded my expectations and will definitely see me again. Cheers, team.

We stayed at the Langham for two nights in downtown Chicago.
The good: The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were space and luxurious, the location was awesome and the concierge’s lounge was incredible.
The bad: The air conditioning in the rooms was horrible. If you leave the room and there is not motion, the air conditioning turns off. Then, when you return, the temperature is high and takes hours to cool back down……..sort of.
The lowest the thermostat will go is 65 degrees. The AC struggles to get anywhere close to that. It never did. We woke up hot at least 10 - 15 times each night. I never felt actual air conditioning. I am unaware where it was supposed to be to be coming from.
Since we had a block of rooms, I asked everyone else how their rooms were. Every person in our group said the same thing…….they woke up hot throughout the night. The AC in their room was substandard, too.
Upon check out, I voiced my concern and they said “sorry to hear that”. They already knew that it was a problem. It is like they had heard it 1k times.
AC is a deal breaker for me. I will not be back. At the nightly rate, Langham should not be trying to save money on their electric bill. It is so unnecessary.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and the overall experience was excellent.
The Highlights:
Accommodations & Staff: The room was fantastic and very well-appointed, and the service from the staff throughout our stay was consistently polite and professional.
The Spa & Gym: We thoroughly enjoyed utilizing the wellness facilities. Both the sauna and the steam room were top-tier, and the entire spa facility and gym were spotlessly clean.
Exceptional Breakfast: The breakfast restaurant was a massive highlight for us. The food was phenomenal, and the truffle mushroom omelette quickly became our absolute favorite.
Areas for Improvement:
Air Conditioning: The only true operational issue we encountered was with the in-room climate control. The AC did not work properly for 2 to 3 days straight. While the staff did come to look at it each time I reported the issue, the fix was temporary, and the same problem would arise again the very next day.
Sustainability Suggestion: For a luxury hotel of this high caliber, we would strongly suggest moving away from standard plastic water bottles, which feel very wasteful for the environment. It would be a massive upgrade to see the hotel transition to premium glass bottles instead—perhaps implementing a sustainable system where they are refilled during morning and evening housekeeping service.

Okay so…We’ve stayed at quite a few five-star hotels in Chicago, and after multiple visits, The Langham continues to be our number one choice! We even came back for our anniversary because no other hotel has given us the same level of rest, comfort, and service.
From the moment you arrive, the experience begins. The valet and front entrance team are always attentive, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. We’ve never felt like we were interrupting anyone, they’re focused, kind, and make you feel taken care of from the second you pull up.
If you’re considering it, we cannot recommend the Club Executive Lounge enough. For us, it’s part of what makes The Langham experience so special. Not having to think about where to grab breakfast, snacks, afternoon tea, or light evening bites makes the entire stay feel effortless. Everything is beautifully prepared, incredibly high quality, and consistently delicious. We actually looked forward to tea time every day. The lounge is also spacious and peaceful, we’ve used it for both relaxing and getting work done, and it’s become something we wouldn’t book a stay without.
The service throughout the hotel is exceptional. Every staff member we’ve interacted with genuinely seems to enjoy what they do and speaks highly of the property. That positive culture is noticeable. Even the other guests seemed relaxed and friendly, which contributed to the overall atmosphere. There’s a sense of calm here that’s hard to describe until you experience it.
The concierge deserves a special mention. They helped us secure reservations that we couldn’t get on our own and gave fantastic recommendations throughout the city.
Our room has always been immaculate. The marble bathroom is beautiful, the layout is thoughtful, the bed and pillows are incredibly comfortable, and the amenities are some of the best we’ve experienced. It honestly feels like you could arrive without luggage and still have everything you need. Every detail has been considered.
For our anniversary, the team went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated, and those thoughtful touches meant a lot. It’s that attention to detail that keeps bringing us back.
One thing we really appreciate is that the staff somehow manages to always be available without ever feeling intrusive. Service is there exactly when you need it, but never overbearing.
To keep this review honest, there are only two very minor things we’d mention. First, the shower controls can take a little figuring out on your first stay. Once you know them, they’re great, but they’re not immediately intuitive. Second, while room service was good, we actually found the food in the Club Lounge to be even better overall. That said, don’t skip dessert? Because…room service chocolate chip cookie is absolutely worth ordering!
The property itself is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and wonderfully maintained. We haven’t had a chance to experience the spa yet, but from what we’ve seen, it looks just as impressive as the rest of the hotel.
If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Chicago where you’ll genuinely rest, recharge, and feel cared for from beginning to end, we can’t recommend The Langham highly enough. It’s one of the few places we’ve stayed that truly gets every detail right, and it’s become our home away from home whenever we’re in Chicago.
