Charlie with the "ie" was an amazing tour guide. Once we started moving he didn't stop to tell us about all the ins and outs of Chicago and its history. 75 minutes wasn't enough. Would highly recommend and would even do it again.

Architecture Tour: We are so glad that we chose to do this tour, even after having been to Chicago many times. The guide was very knowledgeable about the city’s architectural history and context, didn’t seem rushed, even with interruptions, and provided just the right amount of levity to make it a fun time. Boarding and deboarding were also efficient and easy. Definitely recommend, even to those who’ve been to Chicago before.
We did the 75 minute tour. It was tooo long. Very hard to understand the narrator. Just not what I expected. Also on boat with little shade. The day was hot and sunny and very little wind so uncomfortable ride. Not sure how to tell which boat has more shade. Something to consider when booking. The boat itself was fine with concession and bathrooms.

I think I actually posted my original review on the wrong Shoreline Sightseeing. This is the correct one as I noticed the boat.
This was a fun ride and I learned a bit of history about how Chicago was the place where the first ferris wheel was kept and built until it was replaced by the current one.
I liked this ride a lot, but I felt there could have been more history. When we got out onto Lake Michigan, it felt more like a ride and less about history. We did get to see water shelters on the lake itself, the ferris wheel, and a lighthouse. That being said, I heard there was more history on the architectural river boat tour. I still enjoyed this ride a lot and was amazed to see how Lake Michigan was like a freshwater ocean.
I will say 30 dollars was a little steep but still worth the price as a tourist. I just wish there was more history.
