  Charged for “smoking in room” scam where they use air quality sensors that can’t tell the difference between smoke, steam from the shower, or hairspray. Garbage room with no working A/C

  I was treated like crap while checking in. I stay in hotels 250+ nights a year and the rudeness and policies were frustrating. Charging 40 dollars for checking in one hour early,or checking out one hour later is BS. The hotel was not busy nor was it a good location. I have high status at most hotels with my frequent use. I normally have little problems with my stays and work overnights so I expect a little bit of cushion to get adequate sleep. I will never stay here again and hope others are following my recommendation !

  I had a wonderful stay here. It was very clean and quiet. The customer service was AMAZING!!!The parking is ok but it's better if you are a diamond elite because you normally have a spot available to park. This hotel is not far from stores if you want to shop but they're not in walking distance. This hotel is in what I call a culdesac with other nice hotels like the Marriott, and like 3 others. I initially stayed from april 23-26 and checked out. I had an issue with my flight when I got to the airport. I had to stay in Chicago for another day 😑. I called this hotel first for another day because I enjoyed my stay the first time plus they have a free shuttle to the airport. It's very prompt and comes every hour on the hour. This hotel is only about ten minutes from the airport and the shuttle drops you right at the departures Section. I flew southwest from midway and it dropped us off right in front of the door for SW so I was glad. The hotel stay was even better when I stayed the second time because they had bacon for breakfast (😆my favorite). The bfast was great and warm. They kept the food stocked too. They had yogurt, a certain meat (different meat on different days) like turkey sausage one day, pork sausage another and bacon, squared potatoes, biscuits and gravy, eggs that look like they're folded in half, fresh fruit, fresh oats, a pancake maker, toaster to toast the wheat or white, bagels, cinnamon rolls, muffins and sooo much more. The ONLY Thing I didn't like about my stay was that somebody's earpiece was left in one of the cups in my coffee area 😑. Normally I would have taken off one star for this, but I enjoyed my stay so much it wasn't worth ruining their reputation for that but I did want to make it known in case a manager sees this. It was room 429. Anyway, I was in town for my uncle's funeral and this stay took away the sting of it.

  I stayed at the Holiday in Chicago, IL located at 6500 S. Cicero the weekend of April 3rd to April 6th. The hotel's check-out policy per y confirmation email is listed as 12noon. However, upon checking in at the hotel, the check-out time is posted as 11am! I brought this matter to hotel staff and mgmt., to no avail, they did not honor the 12 noon checkout time. I have been repeatedly contacting IHG group's, customer relations department, but to no avail, I haven't gotten anywhere. No one has acknowledged that they, the company made a mistake and nor have I been apologized to. Their lack of customer service and commitment to their customers leaves a dissatisfied taste in my mouth. Never will I stay at one of IHG brands again.
