  There was leak in this room previously and while the repairs were made, they were obvious. A/C wasn’t the best…and signs of mold/mildew in bathroom. Also, spiders and another insect/bug. I arrived very late and didn’t see these things until the morning - I was given a $20 Room Credit, absolutely shameful! They did have maintenance in the room when I left, so they listened but $20 was a slap in the face. I tried to call since I returned home and the manager(s) are still unavailable- just as during my stay. Ridiculous

  DONT TRUST THE 4 STARS... THEY HAVE BEDBUGS!! I booked my stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago-Midway Airport through Expedia, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely concerning. I stayed in Room 219, where I discovered what appeared to be bed bugs in the room. We killed one and there were so many more🤢 I reported the issue to the hotel and followed the appropriate process. I was then informed that Ecolab, a third-party pest-control company, would be investigating the room. Because I was specifically told that an investigation would take place, I requested the findings so I could understand what was actually determined about the condition of Room 219. I have not been provided with those findings or a clear explanation as to why they cannot be shared with me. I also escalated the matter through Expedia because my reservation was booked through their platform. After escalating my complaint, Expedia offered me only a **$70 credit** and stated that they could not do anything further. I do not believe a $70 credit adequately addresses the seriousness of what occurred or the lack of transparency surrounding the investigation. What is most frustrating is that I am not asking anyone to simply take my word for it. I am asking to see the findings of the third-party investigation that the hotel itself told me would be conducted. If Ecolab inspected Room 219, why can the customer who reported the issue not receive a clear explanation of what was found? I am sharing this review so other guests can make an informed decision before booking. I expected a safe, clean, and sanitary hotel room. Instead, I left Room 219 with a serious concern about potential bed bugs and have been met with a lack of transparency regarding what was actually found. **If you stay at this property, I would recommend carefully inspecting your room and documenting anything concerning immediately.** ****RESPONSE**** Are you referring to the report no on can seem to share with us?????? because we've asked for it numerous time which we have a right to. If there really was nothing to hide you'd gladly report to us with proof of this report. Its very saddening that in the hospitality buisness you have corporations like this misrepresenting and most of all lacking integrity to customers. SHAME ON YOU! The pictures speak for themselves those are clear as day bedbugs.

  Thank you Nathan who took the time to show Me how to leave a review and Samona who in the midst of all the business and multitasking was able to smile and be Kind. Thank you both for making my stay pleasurable. Still here one more day with these lovely people!

  I’ve stayed here quite a few times every time I come in I always see familiar faces of course ! There is one employee in particular that I can now call her friend which is Barbra ! She always makes me feel at home while I am here 💓 she definitely takes care of me & gives me recommendations on where to eat & shop around ! She is the very reason I always come back !

  Worst stay I have ever had at a Holiday Inn Express. I was charged a fee that I shouldn’t have been charged - the hotel refused to refund it. Very rude and inconsiderate. When I told them I couldn’t just dispute the fee, they basically told me that I was out of luck and wouldn’t be able to get any of the money back because they would fight the dispute. You also have to pay $30/day for parking if you drive your own car. Definitely find a different hotel to stay at.
