  We stayed at this hotel because our immunocompromised son had an important medical appointment the next morning, and most hotels in the area were sold out. We really needed a clean, quiet, safe place for him to rest and this hotel ended up being the exact opposite of that. Before we arrived, I called to ask for a bed‑bug check and a double inspection for cleanliness. The first rep I spoke with was rude and acted like I was bothering her. The second rep was much kinder and said she added a note and would talk to someone. When we checked in, the front desk told us there was no note at all. Later, when we brought up issues with the room, another agent said they did see the note and sent someone. The back‑and‑forth was frustrating and honestly made us feel like no one really knew what was going on. The room itself was nothing like the photos online. It was outdated, dirty, and felt neglected. The carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, the patio doors were so old and poorly sealed that highway noise sounded like it was right outside our bed, and the only part of the room that looked halfway decent was the bathroom. The website didn’t say the room included a microwave, but staff told us microwaves were available on “every other floor.” One of those floors didn’t have one at all, so I ended up riding the elevator across four different floors just to heat something up. The worst part was finding black mold on the air vent. We were trying to keep our son resting and comfortable, and instead we had to wake him up, pack everything, and get out of the room immediately. Every floor we walked on had missing carpet because of a remodel, and the whole place — from the elevator to the hallways to the room — felt like a rundown roadside 2‑star motel, not a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. I do want to mention one positive: the gentleman working the evening shift was genuinely kind and helpful. When we told him what was going on and that we needed to check out, he handled everything professionally. He gave us a receipt showing a zero balance for the refund and even validated our estimated $58 parking fee. His attitude was the only bright spot in an otherwise awful stay. Overall, this hotel failed us on cleanliness, communication, accuracy, and basic safety at a time when we needed reliability the most. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially if you’re traveling for medical reasons or need a clean environment.

  This is a nice hotel. My only true complaints are the room was absolutely freezing with no option to adjust temperature - it was 61 degrees overnight - and the elevators were very slow. The staff is great and the restaurant in house has decent food. The breakfast buffet was tepid though, not really held at hot temperatures. I also feel that parking fees should be part of the cost of the room. Parking is $54.00 a night. I will stay here again if I visit the area though. It was very clean and felt safe. Close to United Center.

  Over night parking is $57 for the hotel. There was no parks available so I had to park 2 blocks down paid $34 for over night parking. I got to my room & it wasn't clean looked to still be occupied by someone. The hotel rooms are definitely out dated. The bathroom is tiny sink clogs up when running water. Bed was not comfortable there's not a thing I can say I like about this place. Definitely paid to much & wouldn't recommend it. 👎🏾👎🏾

  I have had several wonderful stays at the Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location with easy access to restaurants and everything I needed during my visit. The staff was consistently friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. A special thank you to Tiana, who truly went above and beyond. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine desire to make sure guests have a great experience did not go unnoticed. It's employees like Tiana who turn a good hotel stay into a memorable one. She is an incredible asset to the Crowne Plaza team. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chicago.

  This is a good location for limited reasons. If you are coming here for a conference at Axion Labs, I recommend it. But be prepared, the quality of the rooms are severely lacking. I do not believe this is a 4 Star hotel, and if it is, they have dramatically dropped in ranking. Granted, the staff here is great. They moved me from a terrible room that had a ripped headboard, a stained ceiling in multiple places, and a very strong musty odor. Not to mention, the bathrooms do not have vent fans and the mirrors condensate and get steamy. The overall appearance is very dated. There is NOT a complimentary breakfast as shown in some booking sites. The photos really do not match the rooms that you can get. On a plus, the room is safe and clean enough but it is NOT a 4 Star by my standards. I much prefer staying some place nicer and paying for uber/lyft/taxi or just walking depending on the weather than staying here. I've found the average cost to and from this area from Mag Mile area hotels is about $15-25. Street noise is also present more than I would expect in a 4-star hotel. The lobby is great. The rooms are very lackluster.
