This is my second time staying here. I booked three nights online, and when I checked in at the front desk, I greeted the staff member politely, but she didn't respond. Instead, she simply asked me for a word: "Name!" Then another: "Phone number!" After that, she handed me my key card and mechanically informed me about breakfast hours and internet access—no smile, no extra words throughout. When I said thank you, it was as if she didn't hear me.
The room's air conditioning was set to 60 degrees, yet it still felt extremely hot. I couldn't sleep well all night, and the next morning I was sweating profusely. My husband and I went back to the front desk. Seeing my flushed face from the heat, the staff member immediately offered to switch us to a room across the hall. The new room had a properly functioning AC. But after I undressed and wet my hair, I realized there wasn't even a drop of shampoo available—embarrassing! I had to wash my hair with just plain water.
I originally intended to give one star, but I ended up giving three. These three stars go to another staff member named Maggie (I'm not sure if I spelled her name correctly). She was warm, polite, patient, and highly professional. If all employees were like Maggie, your travel experience would be perfect.
