  We’ve stayed here several times. Each time it has gone down hill. It is dirty, outdated (& this is after a supposed “update”). We did not notice any difference other than different bed comforters. 🤷‍♀️ The breakfast was a joke. No fruit, broken coffee machine and no cereal. The room looked & felt dirty! The elevators were disgusting and I worried they would get stuck based on the terrible noise they made. There was a vending machine for soda and water and it was totally empty as was the ice machine. On the up side the staff we interacted with were nice. Not exceptional, but kind.

  Do not stay at this hotel. It is in a good location for seeing my daughter at IWU but that is all. There is clearly no maintenance or upkeep done as things are broken and not getting fixed. First, the elevator is broken and to get to our rooms, we had to enter from the outside. This door is right by a bench where people sit to smoke, which is gross to walk through if you are a nonsmoker. Then, the shower had empty bottles of conditioner, shampoo, and body wash, which I didn't find out until I was in the shower. Had to get out and wait for more to be brought up. Housekeeping clearly doesn't go through a checklist to make sure the room is ready. Next, when leaving the following day, we find out the door to the room doesn't latch and lock shut. It could be pushed open without a key. We had to call down and the front desk response was, "Oh my God!" They did move us to a new room on the third floor and still no working elevator. The new room had no working refrigerator and third floor had no working ice machine. The front desk said they would get the refrigerator figured out. We returned that evening and no fix and ruined food. The next day at breakfast, there was no coffee due to a broken coffee machine. 0 out of 10 experience, Do not recommend. Find anywhere else to stay in Bloomington -Normal area. Employees make very little effort to make things right.

  This was the worst hotel that we've ever stayed in! I'll start with the staff.... everything that we asked about they were totally apathetic about.... wouldn't look into any situation just gave a lame answer. The exception was the gentleman in charge of the breakfast area. When I asked him for ice, he went to the 2nd floor where the ice machine was. The breakfast was disgusting! We actually heard a little girl tell her Mom the egg is icky! Now, the room....ugh! There was no microwave and no blow dryer. The heater/ air was so loud it woke us up. The toilet constantly ran....and didn't hold water in the tank to flush. The sink was installed incorrectly so the stopper wouldn't work to hold water. We named the spider in the corner Fred. He was there the whole time. There is an opening in the ceiling that used to be where a smoke detector was. There were wires and insulation sticking out. I'm sure that the Bloomington, Illinois building inspector would flag this as an issue. The television would be on a channel for 20 minutes, then it would show a blank screen saying 'this station no longer available '. The front desk would only say there were clouds outside. When we saw the cleaning cart, we were impressed. However their idea of cleaning was to leave 3 towels on the desk by the TV. The ice machine and the microwave are on the 2nd floor. Our room was on the 1st. The elevators are broke so you can only use the steps. As an elderly couple, this wasn't possible. We actually packed up and left the evening before we were scheduled to depart. THIS IS A REALLY BAD EXAMPLE OF A Best Western hotel!

  The elevators were out of order, and there was no internal entrance to the stairwell on the first floor at the end where our room was, so we had to use an external door to access the stairs in order to get to the third floor. The TV kept losing service on and off, and the toilet water pressure was so low that you had to hold the handle down every time you flushed, and most times had to flush twice to empty the bowl. The sinks also had very low water pressure causing the water to flow onto the counter whenever you washed your hands.

  This place is absolutely disgusting and a whole joke! The elevators are down and coming from reading other reviews it's clearly been down MONTHS! The receptionist knew i had children, one being only 11 months and we were put all the way up on the 3rd floor. So I had to walk up and down carrying a 25 lbs baby and my luggage. I get into the room and its FILTHY! The bed sheets were dirty, spit all in the trash can from someone chewing, ceiling caving in ABOVE the bed, crumbs on the floor, and the ac did not work. With me having two children one being a baby I refused to allow my child on that floor. She moved us to the next room. Asked if it looked better, but didn't give me time to check throughly. The floors by the door were still dirty, and the sheets, still dirty and it seemed to have pubic hairs on them. The ac in this room works a little better, but they have them set up to where you can't change the ac settings, so its still hot. There also is not a real full curtain for privacy. They have half a curtain that closes one side then the see through. The icing on the cake, tv doesn't even work.
