    I'm sure the construction in front of the casino is necessary, it's a pain during peak hours. The casino gaming floor is very nice, although the machines are kind of tight. Lots of improvement needed for entering the gaming floor. With only one magnetometer to control people wanting to enter from 3 different directions made for a chaotic process. There should at least 2 magnetometers to handle folks coming from the Boulevard, and entering from the front parking as not to direct them to get in line with the folks coming from the garage. Next, I stayed 2 nights in the hotel. The rooms were decent. I just wish there was a microwave. Also, with no designated parking for hotel guests and check-in being late afternoon, it was challenging to find parking near the hotel check-in (not really a lobby, but more like a check-in area). Having to park in the garage on the other side of the building doesn't seem to really care about guest convenience. AND no, I don't care to pay for valet parking if I'm a hotel guest! Upon my checkout, the young lady at the desk wasn't friendly at all! She didn't even ask how my stay was or anything. She only stated what my balance was, and nothing about what will be refunded to my card. I had to ask. Anyway, I look forward to this casino evolving, making changes to improve the overall convenience and experience of all who keep this casino thriving. Only time will tell.

    It doesn’t seem like the casino is in a state where it should be open, it’s absurd that I was not able to spend my money at a casino. Lots of empty tables even though there were many people looking to play table games, we were told that more tables would open up at 11, I waited until 11:30 and still nothing. They need to add more blackjack machines if they are going to have so many empty tables, 4 blackjack machines don’t cut it with the amount of people waiting to play blackjack. On top of that they promote the Penn Play app and on the app they offer Penn cash if you connect to one of the games but they don’t even have it available at this location. I have never been this disappointed at a casino before, nor have I been to one where I can’t spend my money the way I want to. Not worth coming here unless all of these issues are addressed.

    My experience at Hollywood Casino Aurora was very disappointing. First, the bar area was clearly understaffed and the employees were doing everything they could just to keep up. There were what appeared to be 50–100 dirty glasses stacked around the bar along with dozens of used plates waiting to be cleared. It was obvious the bartenders and servers were overwhelmed, yet management seemed completely absent. Rather than stepping in to help during opening weekend, they appeared content to let their staff struggle. I genuinely felt bad for the employees. The casino floor wasn’t any better. We came specifically to play blackjack, and while we were actively playing at a completely full table, management closed that table. This reduced the entire casino to just two open blackjack tables, despite the fact that the tables were already full and there were lines of people waiting to play. I completely understand that it’s opening weekend and there will be growing pains, but I cannot understand why a full blackjack table would be shut down without any effort to accommodate the players. Leaving an entire casino with only two blackjack tables operating is simply unacceptable. We even asked if we could play at the $25 table for the $15 minimum since there were no other reasonable options available. The answer was simply no, with no attempt to accommodate us in any way. Every employee we spoke with blamed “upper management” and said there was nothing they could do. Unfortunately, this experience reinforced what many people dislike about casinos: everything seems to be focused on maximizing revenue rather than taking care of the players. A little flexibility and customer service would have gone a long way. After this visit, I’d rather spend my gambling dollars in Las Vegas, where casinos at least make an effort to accommodate their guests, provide comps, and create an enjoyable experience. I had high hopes for the new Hollywood Casino Aurora, but this visit left me extremely disappointed.

    My spouse and I spent the day here Thurs 6.25.26 we recognized many employees from the old location and security is top notch! There were Aurora Police here as well. There are lots of new slot machines and old slots too. The casino floor is laid out soooo much better than the old location. Most everything is Brand new. We ate at Hollywood Blvd Food Court: Antique taco 100% dedicated gluten-free & Lucky Goat didn't have milkshakes disappointing. The food is better at Hollywood Joliet however it was Aurora's 1st full day open so next time we go back? we will have a better comparison + there are other fast food options ample seating inside and outside as well as multiple sit down restaurants on the property. 1 strange issue.. why aren't there any self serve beverage stations like Hollywood Joliet and both Aurora and Joliet former locations? It's nice to be able to get your own beverages while at the casino. We saw & heard cocktail servers on the casino floor with trays of bottles of water as well as getting drinks for guests. Thankfully the new Hotel is attached to the building a big plus. We didn't see hotel rooms the entertainment complex nor the Spa. Just like Hollywood Joliet it is freezing cold inside Hollywood Aurora bring a sweater and/or sweatshirt if you go. I had a shirt & hoodie on I was still shivering in certain areas. Per usual there were obnoxious people in public places like a lady next to me was literally banging on all 4 games of her Wonder 4 boost slot machine screen. I don't know why these people can't grasp banging on the screen won’t change the outcome LOL & could break the screen sending it into malfunction? I'm here to have fun she was annoying as multiple women's toilets don't flush already & no one around to inform. Gross. Overall the new Hollywood Casino Aurora is a beautiful place for entertainment live bands and music is definitely a big plus I hope the casino brings back Libido Funk Circus & Hi Infidelity that played the original casino location frequently in the past. lots of dining choices & people watching like a mini Vegas for people not interested in gambling! I came home with more $ than I went with is always a good feeling.

    Very disappointed about my experience tonight at the grand opening. When I first arrived, I was not allowed access to the garage. Even though there was ample parking available. I had to park across the street and walk to the casino in the rain. When I got in even though I've been a longtime loyal member I had to wait in line and was treated as if I was never a customer From the staff at the parking garage to the staff that allowed me access to the casino I was very disappointed in the lack of professionalism previously, when coming to the casino in downtown aurora, I was always treated as if I was family, even if it was my first time or I hadn't been there.In a long time. Once I was in the casino I was trying to get a new membership card and was told that since I was an existing member that I would have no new member benefits. Where is your loyalty? I have been to many casinos and establishments. And when a new location opens, everyone is treated as family very welcoming, and i'm so disappointed that after all this time and money, that aurora has put into the building of this new casino that they would allow such negative treatment of their loyal customers. Keep in mind that I have been a VIP member for several years, I'm a high limit player, and i couldn't even find a server to get a drink! I saw new members getting a poster? Every casino that has opened always gives some kind of incentive to come to the Grand opening. For existing members you get nothing for coming and showing your loyalty and support. I would rather take the 30 minute drive to another establishment than waste my time at this casino!! PLUS THEY TOOK THE TEXAS HOLDEM ROOM OUT. TO ALL MY TEXAS PLAYERS DONT COME HERE EXPECTING TO BE ABLE TO PLAY HOLDEM!!!
