The staff are polite, professional, and respectful. The hotel room overall was large and clean. Only found 1 piece of hair in the bathroom floor but the room is very clean. The breakfast was not bad and better than most hotels I have been. The bed was great, but I didn't like the pillow. The pillow wasn't firm enough for me. I felt safe. This location is awesome. Many great stores and restaurants near by which was very convenient.

Booked the room, got the confirmation. Drove to Chicago from Toronto only to find out at 12 at night that they were overbooked so they had to cancel. Now we're stuck without a room in a new country on a labour day weekend. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! Owner only cares about money, this place should close down. Am definitely suing them.

Extremely disappointing experience and a serious failure in communication and guest privacy. When I checked in, no one told me there was any construction happening at the hotel. After getting to my room, I heard constant knocking and construction noise for hours, so I called the front desk myself to ask what was going on. They told me there was construction and said it should last “just an hour.” It did not last an hour. The noise continued for around five hours. More importantly, no one ever told me that the construction would move to my floor or directly affect my room. What was even worse is that the hotel apparently did not tell the workers that someone had already checked into my room. I was sleeping when a worker entered my room without knocking or asking permission. This was completely unacceptable and a serious privacy and security concern. Even after I told the workers that I was exhausted and had been sleeping, they still insisted on continuing the work. If the hotel had simply been transparent at check-in, I could have requested a different room or made a different decision about my stay. Instead, I was not informed about the construction, was given inaccurate information about how long it would last, was never told it would affect my floor and room, and then had a worker enter my occupied room while I was sleeping. This is far beyond normal construction inconvenience. The lack of communication, coordination, and respect for guest privacy was unacceptable.

I freaked out when I pulled up and there were rolls of carpet in the porte-cochère as I had had a bad experience at a previous IHG property earlier in my trip. The manager heard me and came out and reassured me the remodeling was complete except for the first floor. They kindly put me on the top floor. The next morning I got change for the laundry and literally accused the desk clerk of shorting me once I got to the laundry. He was kind and gave more change. When I realized my mistake, I gave him the money back. I literally was a partial Karen and the professional service of the front desk shone through both times. Thank you for your patience and my apologies again for my behavior. My room was cool, quiet, and clean breakfast was good.

On Saturday July 25, 2026 I checked into this Holiday Inn for an event on Sunday July 26, 2026. I was shown 3 different rooms because the first room wasn't clean. The other 2 rooms were not clean either. I stressed that I would just take a refund because the rooms are not up to the standard of cleanest I prefer. Customer Service at the front desk became very rude and stated I couldn't get a refund. I was tired and had to prepare myself for my coming up event so Customer Service gave me the room key for the second room that was shown. I wasn't in that room for 30 minutes I saw ticks crawling on the bed. At that point I knew I wasn't wrong for my feelings about the rooms not being clean enough. Customer Service came up to the room to see the ticks crawling on the bed and stated that I could now receive a refund and the manager will contact me. I packed up my stuff and went back to the front desk to see if I can get documentation of the situation and proof of a pending refund. The Customer Service was so rude! I was told I couldn't get proof of the pending refund. At some point I start to feel discriminated against. I was totally mishandled in the situation! I travel a lot I have been to so many Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts and have never been treated like this. I paid $490.48 for my stay and was turned around after seeing ticks crawling in this business. I had to drive 2 hours to stay with a family member after this situation. I still don't have any updates on if I will get my $490.48 refunded.
