  Update: Thanks for your response. I attached a picture of your non-magnetic TFal pot and how it's incompatible with your induction stove - but go on blaming me. Original: I sent my concerns and issues to Best Western, requesting a response... But all I received was something generated by AI. At "upper-mid scale" hotel prices, you are better off staying somewhere else. Let's get the nasty mattress picture out of the way. How is this acceptable? It was multiple stains, as if the previous ones were ok. Followed by the stuck food on the fridge - it was fairly obvious. Speaking of the kitchen, I couldn't get the induction stove to work. It's not because I didn't know how to use it, it's because the aluminum pots included with the room aren't compatible with the cook top. The whole reason we stayed here was to save money by cooking our own meals. The front desk did their best, but in the end we ate out... paying more money for the room and more money to eat out... only for the AI response to tell me it was my fault for not knowing how to use the cook top. Wow.

  Great hotel! Very clean! Breakfast was a hot style breakfast which was delicious but doesn’t allow “to go” so you can’t eat in your room which kind of sucks especially with small kids. Parking did cost $5 in the garage across the street but street parking was free

  I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Executive Residency in Waterloo. We had a King room on the 8th floor. Good view of downtown. The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked great, plenty of pillows, good amenities, absolutely zero complaints about the room. There is a parking ramp across the street, it's connected by a skywalk, and the hotel validates your parking. Zero complaints about parking. There is an indoor pool with multi-level seating around the pool. We were with an eleven-year-old who loved the pool and we enjoyed the pool area. The breakfast was a real stand-out. I didn't catch the name of the woman running breakfast, but she was a real gem and even brought us a fresh coffee once it was brewed. The buffet included soft, flaky biscuits and delicious sausage gravy, make your own waffles and pancakes, hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, bagels, scrambled eggs, etc. They even brought in a couple of boxes of fresh donuts. This was one of the best free hotel breakfasts I have tasted. Near the breakfast area was an arcade and they had a coffee/expresso/hot chocolate machine. There's also a great riverfront area to walk around just 1 block away. I would definitely stay here again. Great experience!
