- RSRick SaundersAug 24, 20261.0My wife stayed here on 8/17/26-8/19/26 and asked that I leave a review for her. She was extremely upset because the thermostat in the room was locked down at a temperature range that the hotel had selected. It was to cold for her and when she brought the complaint to the desk, instead of apologizing and fixing it, they got defensive and explained that other guests might not be happy if the temps were set higher. Here's a clue for management...don't lock it down! Let the guests select the temperature! She has a themometer that she keeps with her because those of us that stay in hotels a lot know that their thermostats are rarely accurate. The temp in her rom was set at 70 but the real temperature was 62! She will never stay here again. When she told the staff this, they acted like they couldn't care less. I guess they figure, there is a sucker born every minute and they will probably stay with them.

This probably happened at least 4 different times. The room took a long time to get cool. The shower and bathroom wall didn't appear to be very clean. The toilet seat was loose and the towels were pretty rough. The entire hotel had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had.

- PPPete PearsonAug 8, 20265.0Very nice staff and enjoy the indoor pool room is clean and there's a Bennigan's attached to the hotel great job all appreciate the stay we will be back! Once again a nice place to stay when you're visiting in Des Moines area! Right off the interstate add centrally located within miles from downtown areas that are terrific to shop and dine at too!!! Also a nice workout center also!!!
