  I would like to state i stay in IHG and Marriott hotels often, about 10-15 nights a month all over the country. For this specific hotel I had to wear shoes in my room 100% of the time. The floor is literally sticky it is so dirty and I keep getting a bad sour foot odor from the carpet too. The tiles in the bathroom are cracked and grout is missing. I could feel the tiles under my feet move. Until this hotel gets a serious overhaul I don't think I'll stay here again. Unfortunately, the other hotel i stay at in dubuque when I visit was full.

  I booked a room at this location 8-14-26. I’ve stayed in several holiday inn express locations across the Midwest.Bathroom floor was filthy and sticky. Carpet throughout hotel was filthy.Dust everywhere. Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hotel so gross.I immediately asked for a refund and checked out. Luckily they did refund my money.They also jacked up the price of the room to 360$ because of a baseball game. Don’t waste your money stay somewhere else.

  Noisy. Gap under door let's in all sorts of noise. Had a dog barking all night across the hall. Could hear conversations thru the walls, almost every word they were saying.

  This location not up to par. Staff nice, rooms ok but lack counter space for bags. Carpet old and worn. Breakfast more limited than usual. Cinnamon rolls served cold (very disappointing). Trash cans in breakfast area overfilled and not emptied. Price was ok at least. I usually choose HI Express but this one dated and needing attention.

  In talking with a Holiday Inn Express employee (not at this location) I learned that IHG requires certain upkeep and repairs to be done at specific intervals at their hotels. This Dubuque property is in desperate need of work. The back stairs are 75% covered with stains, rooms are clean and adequate but bathroom floor tiles seem to have been hastily regrouted and those in our room moved when walked on. The staff here is universally kind and hard-working. The woman who handled breakfast was especially efficient and quite nice. But the actual hotel is subpar.
